Community Bond Informa on Mee ngs
RISD is holding community mee ngs to share bond informa on and answer ques ons in
each of the four high school feeder pa erns. The mee ngs are a great opportunity to learn
more about what is in the 2016 bond package that voters will consider in the May 7
elec on. All mee ngs will begin at 6:30 p.m.
BHS Area: April 21, Yale Elem., 1900 E. Collins Blvd.
Early vo ng begins: April 25
Elec on Day: May 7
Dear Dad,
You are cordially invited to join me on Saturday May 7, 2016 between 9:00am and 10:30am
at the Home Depot on Coit and Campbell.
We will get to do a cra and have coffee and donuts! We will have a special area in the
store just for PWE families.
All we have to do is RSVP to [email protected] to let them know we will be coming! I am looking forward to spending some me with you, Dad!

*Please note this event is for PWE students K‐6 only. RSVPs are required by May 3rd in order
to ensure enough items are available. Include your name and the names of your child(ren)
and their grade(s).
MULTICULTURAL
FESTIVAL
We are wrapping up the school year with an exci ng, new event for PWE families and
friends! The event, scheduled for May 19th from 6:00 to 7:30, will combine the annual
Mul cultural Fes val with an end‐of‐year picnic. Two of Dallas’ most popular food trucks will be in a endance serving dinner, star ng at
$5/meal. A steel drum band will perform on stage and students can enjoy a variety of
cultural games and crafts as they “travel the world”.
To make this event even be er, we are looking for families from our school to help
showcase the cultural backgrounds of our students.
Do you have a family recipe that exhibits where your family is from or where you have been?
Do you have a cra or game to share that exhibits culture from another country?
Do you have a talent or skill (e.g., musical performance, dancing) that you would be willing to
show off at the fes val?
If so, we would love to have your contribu on for the event. If you can commit to
contribu ng your talents, knowledge, or items to the fes val, please contact Rachel Brown

Las reuniones de informa vas de el Bono para la Comunidad
RISD está teniendo reuniones para la comunidad para compartir información sobre el bono
y responder a las preguntas en cada uno de los cuatro High School de los patrones de
asignación. Las reuniones son una gran oportunidad para aprender más acerca de lo que
considera el bonos 2016 que los votantes tendrán que tener en cuenta en la elección de
mayo 7. Todas las reuniones comenzarán a las 18:30

necesarios para garantizar que habrán suficientes artesanías y alimentos disponibles el 3 de mayo.
NOCHE MULTICULTURAL
¡Nosotros estamos terminando el año escolar con un evento excitante y nuevo para
familias y amigos de PWE!
El evento, programado para el 19 de Mayo de 6:00 a 7:30, combinará el Fes val
Mul cultural con un picnic de fin de año. Y 2 de los camiones de comida más populares de
Dallas estarán presentes sirviendo cenas comenzado desde los de $5/comida, una banda
de tambores se estará presentando en el escenario, y los estudiantes podrán disfrutar de
una variedad de juegos multiculturales y manualidades en su “viaje a través del mundo”.
Para hacer este evento aún mejor, estamos buscando familias de nuestra escuela para
ayudar a enseñar estas hermosas culturas de nuestros estudiantes.
¿Tienes una receta familiar que exhibe de donde su familia es de o donde han estado? ¿Tienes una manualidad o juego para compartir donde exhiba la cultura de otro país?
¿Tienes un talento o una habilidad (por ejemplo, interpretación musical, danza) que estarías
dispuesta a lucir en el fes val?
Si es así, nos encantaría tener su contribución para el evento. Si pueden comprometerse a
