LENT is coming // La CUARESMA está cerca
Dear Parishioners,
Lent is a time of sacrifice and discipline, but it should not be a time of sadness. Instead it
should be a season of great joy. There is a prayer in mass where we say: “For by your gracious gift each year your faithful await the sacred paschal feasts with joy of minds made
pure”. As Christians we are stirring up our faith and love for God and each other so that, on
Easter, we are ready to meet the risen Lord refreshed and restored. Let us be ready to live a
holy season of Lent.

La Cuaresma es un tiempo de sacrificio y disciplina, no debería ser un tiempo de tristeza,
sino un tiempo de alegría y gozo. Hay una oración en la misa que decimos: “Por tu gracia,
Señor, cada año tus fieles esperan las fiestas de la Pascua con alegría en nuestras mentes”.
Como Cristianos queremos derramar nuestra fe y amor por Dios y por nuestros hermanos,
