Great Room.
“There are different gifts but the same Spirit…” 1 Cor 12:4
Developing the potential of its members is an important function and a major strength of families and of churches. Do we
recognize, affirm and nourish the gifts of those around us? Do
we cultivate and thank God for our own gifts? They are meant
to be shared! How do we share our gifts to build up God’s
kingdom on earth? On this day of Pentecost, let us ask the
Holy Spirit to renew the face of the earth – through us!
CHRIST RENEWS HIS PARISH
Men Oct 18-19 Women June 28-29
Weekend retreat provides an atmosphere for
individual growth through prayer, inspiring
presentations, and personal reflection. It is also an
opportunity to share with others in the parish about
the joys and challenges of living a Christian lifestyle in
our family life, at work, with friends, and in society.
Corporate Communion & Officer Installation: June 8
The members of our Council will hold a Corporate Communion at the
4:30PM. Mass today. We will meet in the Narthex prior to Mass and

be installed followed by a dinner in the Great Room. All members of the
Knights of Columbus, regardless of their home Council, and their families
are encouraged to join us.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
The Knights of Columbus participate in the Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament every Friday, from 8 to 9PM, during the twenty-four hour
adoration of the exposed Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel. During this
dedicated hour of time, we pray, meditate, and reflect on their relationship with Jesus Christ. This hour is not restricted to members of the
Knights but is available for anyone who wishes to worship and adore
Jesus. Please join us. Note: Official Catholic teachings consider the
exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament an important practice
which "stimulates the faithful to an awareness of the marvelous presence
of Christ and is an invitation to spiritual communion with Him.

This prayer service takes place the second Thursday of each month for those in the parish who are ill, recovering
from surgery or any other intention. All parishioners are invited
to attend and submit names of those individuals for whom
prayers are needed. These names will be read during the service.

VBS Sponsorships needed
Perhaps your children have outgrown the VBS years but those
memories of summers spent here at St. Mark singing the ‘Peel
Banana’ song, drinking ‘jungle juice’, having water squirted on
you outside to keep cool, while learning more about our awesome God still linger. These VBS traditions are still an integral
part of St. Mark. I would like those of you that are able, to consider making a donation to VBS that would allow children whose
parents may be in a ‘pinch’ money- wise this summer have the
opportunity to participate in VBS. Sponsoring one child is $30.00.
Payments can be made online and checks can be mailed to Elementary Faith Formation at the Parish Office. Thanks for paying
it forward! Peggy Theis, VBS Coordinator.
Our Facilities Department is seeking a college
student to assist with grounds keeping and
other summer projects. Must be 18 years old or
older. Flexible schedule during office hours. If
interested, contact Will Alt at

As we look forward to the summer and all of the
activities we may have, one of the special parts
of our plans often involve friends. We are very
blessed when we have people in our lives that
share our experiences, and listen to our cares
and joys. It is sometimes easy to take them for
granted. Think for a moment about your life or the life of a relative or acquaintance that is in need of a friend. At St. Mark, We
Care! We would like to volunteer to meet and listen to your joys
and concerns. Please feel free to reach
out to us, or provide an informed referral
for a person you may be related to or
know, who would like to have a Friend at
St. Mark. Our volunteer group is growing,
Donations can be dropped off in the basket marked “Seminarian
