¡Vivan los verbos “-ar”! The wonderful thing about them is they are totally predictable in conjugation! They all follow the same rule and pattern! In order to conjugate this category of verbs, you need to follow these steps. STEP ONE: Take the “ar” off the end of the verb. STEP TWO: Use what is left (the stem) to begin all of the six forms. STEP THREE: Add the necessary endings for each form. Example: “Hablar” (to speak) STEP ONE: Take off the “ar”. hablar habl STEP TWO: Use what is left (habl) to begin all of the six forms. yo habl… nosotros habl… tú habl…. vosotros habl….. usted él habl…… ella quién ustedes ellos ellas quiénes habl….. STEP THREE: Add the necessary ending for each form. yo hablo nosotros hablamos tú vosotros habláis hablas usted él ella quién habla ustedes ellos ellas quiénes hablan Using this formula, you can now conjugate and use any regular “-ar” verb that exists in Spanish…and hundreds of these kinds of verbs exist!! ¡Olé!
