First Workshop on
Interdisciplinary Approaches
for the Study of
Neuronal Oscillations
Center for Applied Medical Research
University of Navarra
Pamplona, June 20 th , 2013
The theme of the meeting is the new developments in Neurophysiology and other branches of Neuroscience to study
the brain’s ability to generate and maintain neuronal oscillations. Although it is widely accepted that the coordination
of different oscillatory activities plays an important role in
brain function, many aspects of the fundamental underlying
mechanisms remain unknown.
In this workshop different scientist with diverse backgrounds ranging from anatomy and physiology to engineering and physics will bring together recent perspectives in
the field of neuronal networks focusing on the interactions
between structure, dynamics and function in the brain. We
will present new trends for the study of the fundamental
mechanisms of brain oscillations and their role in disease.
