Mercedes Brito:
Mercedes is a Venezuelan that grew up in the
United States but she feels more attached to her
country than many people who have lived here
their entire lives.
She is internationally recognized for being the
image of renowned brands in Latin America,
Europe and USA.
With a law degree among her achievements, she
went to Los Angeles, California to chase her
dream of becoming an actress. Eric Morris was in
charge of her acting training; he has worked and
prepared famous actors like Jack Nicholson and
Johnny Depp.
Brito has had a long career in the show business;
she has hosted TV shows such as LATV and Judge
Joe Brown. In 2003 she made her debut in Casey
La Scala’s film Grind.
Hustler’s Instinct (2005), Café de Lupe (2007)
and True Love (2007) are other movies
in which she has starred.
This Venezuelan actress is the star of the
moment; along Guillermo Canache, she is the
leading lady of Manuel Pifano’s amusing comedy
Alone at Home.
Without wasting anytime she went back to Los
Angeles joining the cast of the new movie Human
Factor, starring Eric Robert (Julia Robert’s
brother), Danny Trejo and David Zayas, among
other big celebrities. In this film she plays a
policewoman that unleashes the plot of the
motion picture.

Guillermo Canache:
Canache worked, for a long time, as a producer of
events and commercials. He never imagined
himself in front of the cameras, but Polar’s
advertising campaign, Pedroso, made him an onscreen star. After his big break he decided to try
acting, so in 2005 he made his debut in the soap
opera Guayoyo Express, broadcasted by Televen,
starring Mimí Lazo and Carlos Mata. Later on, he
shared the screen with Enrique Lazo as the host of
his own TV show called Noche de Perros; the
theater stage was also part of his experience
when he participated in Enrique Jardiel Poncela’s
play Los ladrones somos gente honrada.
Guillermo Canache developed his acting skills
working really hard but what he has had since the
beginning is a natural gift to entertain people and
make them laugh. This is the main characteristic
of Carlos, his starring role in the film Alone at
home, directed by Manuel Pifano.

Malena González:
Malena is a proactive Venezuelan that has a
successful career as an actress, radio host,
producer and businesswoman. Nonetheless her
passion is performing; musicals, soap operas and
movies are a big part of her work and hobbie. She
is also known, nationally and internationally, for
being great at the theater stages.
Considering that she is a gorgeous woman,
brands such as Ariel, Banco Provincial, Movilnet,
HBO and Renault made her their product’s image.
She had a radio show called Echadas in the radio
station Circuito X along Astrid Carolina Herrara.
She has won the hearts of many with her
performances in the soup operas such as Se
Solicita Príncipe Azul (Venevisión), Con Toda El
Alma (Laura Viscontti Producciones), Que Clase
de amor (Benjamín Cohen), El Enano (JC Films en
Lima, Perú) and El Gato Tuerto (Televén). This last
one granted her the recognition for Best New
Actress in the awards Premios Universo del
Espectáculo; producing and starring the
chilndren’s theather play Anabel, La Princesa
Encantada got her the award for Best Children’s
Play among other prizes.
This year, in august, she will amuse the audience
with her role in Manuel Pifano’s film
Alone at Home.

Juan Carlos Núñez:
Núñez is a 13 years old Venezuelan actor whose
career in the show business has already been
foreseen as a successful one. He started
developing his acting skills by participating in
school plays. He got the leading role in the film
The Rumble of the Stones; with his role as
Santiago he moved and won over the Venezuelan
audience showing that he has an incredible
potential and an outstanding talent.
His performance didn’t go unnoticed in the
international film festivals; he won the awards for
“Best Actor” in Cinema-Sud film festival
(Marseille, France) and Rengo’s International Film
Festival (Chile).
Demonstrating his abilities once again, Núñez
impersonates Carlitos in the upcoming
film Alone at Home, directed by Manuel Pifano.

Rafael Carrillo:
Since Rafael was very young, he became involved
in the acting business by participating in the
program Contesta por Tío Simón. A few years
later he worked in many soap operas (RCTV and
Venevision) that captivated Venezuela’s
audience, some of them were Cosita Rica, Ciudad
Bendita, Voltea pa’ que te enamores,
Camaleonas, Robando corazones, Túkiti crecí de
una.
His charisma turned him into an advertising star;
many brands such as Subway, Cerveza Regional,
Ariel, Banco de Venezuela, Óptica Caroní and
Farmacias Saas, have recognized his talent and
made him the image of their commercials.
In 2008 he took part in his first feature film called
Señor Presidente. After that he couldn’t stay away
from the big screen obtaining parts in movies like
Zamora Tierra de Hombres, La Hora Cero, Todo
por la taquilla, Memorias de un Soldado, Gaspar y
Mendoza. This year the audiences will be able to
watch his marvelous and entertaining
performance in Alone at Home, directed by
Manuel Pifano.

Victoria Lanz:
Acclaimed worldwide as one of the most desired
women by the male audience, Victoria Lanz is the
first Venezuelan porn star with a long-lasting
international career; she is currently developing
different projects that will show other sides of this
talented lady. She successfully tried working in
theater along Alfonso Medina in the play Dímelo al
Oído.
Victoria still has potential to show, dreams to fulfill
and the ambition to chase them.
This is why in 2012 she is planning big things,
some of them are launching her own clothing line

Ly Jonaitis:
Jonaitis was studying fashion design when Fran
Montoro, a renowned fashion designer,
discovered her potential to fill the runways with
her stunning beauty. In 2003 when she was 18
years old, she was selected to participate in
Televen’s reality show Modelos 2003. Jonaitis won
the contest and it allowed her to be part of the
Ford modeling agency pageant Super Model of the
World in which she was also a finalist.
In 2006 she became a beauty queen when she
was crowned Miss Venezuela and was also
granted with the titles Best face and Best hair. As
if it weren’t enough, Jonaitis ended up second
finalist in the Miss Universe 2007. Right after that
Jonaitis showed her acting skills with a role in the
soap opera Los Misterios del Amor (Venevisión).
In 2010 she became one of the Chicas Pilsen
(Empresas Polar). This girl’s versatility led her
into having her own section in Televen’s news
called Lo actual.
As talented as she is, this year she makes her
debut in the big screen guest starring in
Manuel Pifano’s Alone at Home.

Andrea Matthies:
Andrea was initiated in the runways when she was
15 years old and since then the photographers,
flashes, dressing rooms and makeup make her
feel at home. She worked for the agency
Wilhelmina Models in their Manhattan offices. In
2007, when she was barely 20 years old, she
participated as Miss Sucre in the beauty pageant
Miss Venezuela; there she got into the top 10 and
won Colgate’s award for Best Smile.
In 2008 she represented Venezuela in the third
edition of the contest Miss Continente Americano.
This year she makes her debut in the big screen
guest starring in Alone at Home.

Jessika is a Venezuelan actress and model
recognized by the media as one of the most
beautiful women of this country.

many others have taken advantage of Grau’s

Fredra López:
Fedra Lopez is an actress and model
internationally renowned for her long and
successful career. Better-known for her role as
Ricarda Araujo in La mujer de Judas, she initiated
herself in the industry through dancing and acting
in soap operas; one of her most recent roles was
in the soap opera Natalia del mar.
Since the beginning of her career, this versatile
woman has starred in films; being an exceptional

Her charisma and enthusiasm allowed her to host
shows like Chamo Señal and Después de clase.
Karen is not only a remarkable actress, she has

She made her debut in the big screen as a special

Laksmi’s successful career began in 2008 when
she was crowned Miss Venezuela International. In
2009 she was a finalist in the beauty pageant Miss
International and in 2010 she won the first place
in Miss Supranational America.

woman stood out as a presenter in Sun Channel

Indra Santamaría:
Indra is a dazzling Venezuelan model with
amazing acting skills that led her to the theater
participating in plays such as Chicago (2007) and
Las Legionarias where she shared the stage with
important actresses like Fedra Lopez, Ligia Petit

Jessica has worked as a model for a while

Manuel Pifano
Director
Manuel Pifano is a social communicator from
Monteavila University and a filmmaker from
Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. He took practical
workshops of digital cinema at New York Film
Academy (NYFA) and courses of specialized
photography at the International Center of
Photography (ICP) of New York.
In Venezuela he works in the film industry and in
advertising. Alone at Home is his first feature
film as a director and his second motion picture
called Qué pea! is currently in pre-production. It
is another hilarious comedy about three friends
that wake up one day not knowing what
happened the night before.
