Franciscan Corner
This Lenten Season, we take the opportunity to bring some
of our Franciscan Spirituality to St. Julia.
In the spirit of St. Francis, we begin with the prayer:
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Durante esta época de Cuaresma, tomamos la
oportunidad de proveer nuestra Espiritualidad
Franciscana a Sta. Julia.
Siguiendo el espíritu de San Francisco,
comenzamos con la oración:
Oh Señor, hazme instrumento de tu paz.
Donde hay odio, que yo lleve el Amor.
Donde hay ofensa, que yo lleve el Perdón.
Donde hay Discordia, que yo lleve la Unión.
Donde hay duda, que yo lleve la Fé.
Donde hay error, que yo lleve la Verdad.
Donde hay desesperación, que yo lleve la Esperanza.
Donde hay tristeza, que yo lleve la Alegría.
Donde están las tinieblas, que yo lleve la Luz.
Oh Maestro, haced que yo no busque tanto:
Ser consolado, sino consolar.
Ser comprendido, sino comprender.

Es dando que se recibe.

Immigration Focus this LENT
You are invited to a short (20 min) film “The Roots
of Migration” will be shown in our Parish Hall on
Saturday, Mar. 22 and 29 after the 5:00PM Mass.
Saturday, Mar. 23 and 30 after the 10 and 12
o’clock Masses. On March 23, Gail Phares, Director
for Witness for Peace Southeast and leader of the
group that appears in the film will join us for discussion after.

day Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC
on Saturday, April 5, 2014. The cost for the Pilgrimage

Enfoque en Inmigración en Cuaresma
Le invitamos a ver la película corta titulada “Las Raíces de la
Inmigración” , que se mostrará en nuestro Salón Parroquial
Sábado, 23 y 30 de marzo, después de la Misa de 5PM.
Domingo, 29 y 30 de marzo después de la Misas de 10 y
12. Gail Phares, Directora de Witness for Peace Southeast, y
quien se ve en la película, nos acompañará el sábado 23 y
tendremos charlas.

el enfermo. Pero su ayuda va más allá. Cada feligrés beneficia del BAA. Cada programa de la formación de la fe de
la escuela católica y de la parroquia, como aquí en nuestra
parroquia, es ayudado por su regalo. La formación de los
programas, del seminarista y del diácono, de la preparación para el matrimonio, así como muchas cosas más, actividades espirituales y educativas existen por la gracia de
