Honoring our members and their children for their service in the U.S. Armed Forces

Le damos las gracias a todos nuestros miembros y su familia por servir en
la Fuerza Armadas de los Estados Unidos
William "Bill" Parker was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa and comes from
a family with a long history of military service:
- Great Uncle - Civil War
- Grandfather - World War I
- Father & Uncle - WW II
- Uncle - Korean Conflict
- Uncle, Cousins - Viet Nam War
- Cousins - Gulf War, Iraq, & Afghanistan
Bill flew the F4-Phantom in Spain, Italy & Turkey with the USAFEurope - serving on Nuclear Alert. At the age of 26, he was an
Instructor Pilot and a Wing Executive Officer at Homestead Air
Force Base in Miami for the Tactical Air Command, Tactical Fighter
Training Wing.
He met Dulce while both were in the US Air Force and stationed
Capt. William D. Parker - F4 - Phantom Pilot & Instructor
in Spain.

Zuani Batista Ovalles is the daughter of our member Celina Ovalles.
She
entered the US Navy in 2008 and works on the newest Aircraft Carrier in the
Navy; the USS George H. W. Bush. Zuani is a ABH Aircraft Director, she is in
charge of airplane take offs and landings.
Congratulations to the Ovalles family!
Dulce Isalguez Parker joined the US Air Force from New York City during the
Viet Nam Era and served from 1969 to 1975.
Dulce served as an Administrative Specialist and was assigned to Charleston
AFB, S.C., Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, and Homestead AFB, in Miami, FL
in the Water Survival Squadron.
She was recognized in the Air Force Times Newspaper when she became the
first WAF (Women in the Air Force) to re-enlist at Charleston AFB, South Carolina
and be assigned to the Communication Squadron in Torrejon AB in Spain.
Thanks to all of our members who served in the USA Military.

miembros que asistieron a nuestra "Tarde Social Dominicana". Celebramos los cumpleaños de
nuestros miembros en el mes de noviembre y pasamos una tarde agradable compartiendos nuestra
cultura.
We thank Ruth and Luis Meza for hosting our November Tarde Social in Desoto TX. We had a
great time visiting with Dominican members, learning about Samaná history, had good food, and
enjoyed the fellowship of members and guests.
