First week - Cabrillo College

FIRST WEEK INFORMATION
1. PLEASE ANNOUNCE:
a. PARKING – Student lot (C) is behind the Solari Center (see map).
i. Do not park in hot dog stand! Instant towing $375.00 fee!
ii. Cabrillo permits are valid in either parking garage (enter from Rodriguez or West
Beach - see attached parking map). Posted time limits are enforced in all other
places.
iii. Evening students: Lot B (adjacent to church) is open to students after 5 pm. Street
parking is free after 6 pm; parking lots have varied schedules. Check posted time
limits!
b. BOOKS can be ordered in person at the Student Senate office (first floor lobby area)
during the first two weeks of classes, Mon-Fri 8am – 12:30 pm and Mon-Thurs 4-7 pm.
(week 2 evening hours til 6 pm), delivered the following day. Orders can also be placed
online anytime at www.cabrillo.bncollege.com with delivery to Watsonville within a
couple of days. After the first week, if “Watsonville” is selected as the pickup location,
they will be delivered to the ILC. If students ordered books online before today, they have
been delivered to the Student Resource Center on the first floor (A120).
2. Emergency parking for faculty/staff who can’t find a space: church lot along the fence that borders
on lot B; Solari Center courtyard (through gates). Tickets WILL be issued to cars parked in lot A
and behind Solari (inside gates) without a Cabrillo staff permit.
3. Classroom key should be in your mailbox if not picked up at orientation. If it’s not there, contact
Olga in office A202, x4753.
4. Please send Olga your office hours if you have not done so already. We want to post them as soon
as possible for students.
5. Tech support is x4777 from any classroom or office phone.
6. Remember to lock classrooms and offices when you leave, and shut down all computers and
projectors.
