Las Protecciones para Motores Off-Link [Off-Link Engine Covers]protegen los motores de las aeronaves comerciales
mientras están almacenados. Protegen al motor de los elementos de la naturaleza, impiden la contaminación de la
superficie productores filtraciones de aceite, y ayudan a detener el "robo de piezas". Las hay de tres tipos de protecciones:
Completas, parciales y de componentes.
Las Protecciones completas [parts robbing] envuelven al motor en su totalidad. Existen aberturas para puntos de
montaje y acceso al motor. Su cierre es mediante zippers de alta resistencia, sujetados o ajustados con correas y hebillas
industriales. En su perÃ-metro hay cosidas franjas reflectantes de alta visibilidad para aumentar la seguridad y para
prevenir colisiones de vehÃ-culos en movimiento. Los indicadores de dirección, insignia de la compañÃ-a y un bolsillo
para formularios están cosidos en cada protección. Donde se necesite, hay argollas de correa en puntos de levante para
una instalación fácil y rápida. Se pueden instalar mecanismos de cierre en la protección para ayudar a impedir el
acceso no autorizado.
Las Protecciones parciales [Partial covers]están diseñadas como "Gorras para Lluvia [Rain Caps]", que cubre la parte
superior y los costados pero no impiden la contaminación por aceite de motor hacia la superficie inferior. Sus detalles de
construcción son similares a aquellos de los diseños de protecciones completas , pero pueden ser más fáciles de
instalar.
Las Protecciones de Componentes [Component Covers], tales como protecciones para entradas o escapes son
diseñadas de conformidad con las especificaciones de los clientes. Hay disponible una amplia gama de materiales y
fijaciones , asÃ- como también impresiones personalizadas.
