PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP
O MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP, grant that I may
ever invoke your most powerful name, which is the
safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying.
O Purest MARY, O Sweetest MARY! Let your name
henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, O Blessed
Lady, to succor me whenever I call on you, for, in all
my temptations, in all my needs, I shall never cease to
call on you, ever repeating your sacred name, Mary,
Mary! Oh, what consolation, what sweetness, what
confidence, what emotion, fills my soul when I utter
your sacred name, or even only think of you! I thank
the Lord for having given you, for my good, so sweet,
so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely uttering your name. Let my love for

OLPH School Connection
Thank you to Ms. Stella and her 5th
grade families for leading the 10:00
Mass last week. Was it such a joy to
see children and their families work
together with the school to prepare a beautiful
Mass. In addition the 5th grade families conducted
a bake sale raising over $600 to be used for new
classroom blinds. Thank you to all those who were
involved in making this fundraiser a success!
This week the OLPH students in grades 6-8 have
partnered with the OLPH Knights of Columbus to
raise money for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. You will find students outside the church
after Mass today. Please give what you can.
As we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday, I
would like to take a moment to give thanks to all of
you, parishioners of OLPH parish, for your ongoing support and dedication to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. I am truly thankful! -Mrs. Muscat

Thanksgiving Prayer
Gracious and generous God,
We come before you today
With grateful hearts.
In the beauty and bounty of creation
We see the work of your hand;
In the loving faces around us
We know your own love for us.
May this meal nourish us and strengthen us,
So others may know your plenty
In our kindness,
And see your care and concern
In our witness.
Let us live true lives of gratitude,
As we pray in thanks to you, our God
Who lives forever and ever. Amen

Feast of Christ the King: Chr ist exer cises
his sovereignty, his kingship, in the right to
judge. The basis for his judgment of us is
whether we care for the least of our brothers
and sisters. Growth in discipleship and living the paschal mystery is measured by the
extent to which we look upon the other as
Christ, loving that person as Christ, doing for that person
as Christ. This is how we come to joy. This is how we
“share in the kingdom prepared for us from the foundation
of the world.” Think about it: from the first moment of
creation, God planned for us to share in God’s everlasting
life and joy.
And as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, the St. Vincent de
Paul Society give thanks to you for helping us help the
poor.
