INTENCIONES PERSONALES (DIANA CURILLO)
Saint Augustine: "O God, be merciful to me a sinner" “Turn
your ear, O Lord, and give answer, for I am poor and needy”
(Ps 86[85],1). He doesn't turn his ear to the rich man but to the
poor and needy one, towards the man who is humble and
acknowledges his sins, the one who begs his mercy not the one
who is satisfied, who takes a superior position, who vaunts
himself as though he lacked for nothing and who has just said:
“I thank you that I am not like this publican”. For that rich
Pharisee made much of his worthiness; the poor publican
confessed
his
sins...
All those who reject pride are poor before God and we know
that he turns his ear to the poor and needy. They have
recognized that their hope can't rest in gold or silver or those
possessions they own in abundance for a season... When
someone despises within himself everything for which pride
knows so well how to flatter itself, then that person is one of
God's poor. God inclines his ear to him for he knows the
sufferings
of
his
heart...
Learn, then, to be poor and needy whether you own something
in this world or not. We may find a proud beggar and a rich
man who is pierced by the feeling of his own unworthiness.
“God refuses the proud” whether they are clothed in silk or
covered with rags; “he gives his grace to the humble” (Jas 4,6;
Prv 3,34) whether they possess or do not posses this world's
goods. God looks on what is within: that's what he weighs,
that's what he tests. You don't see God's weights; your feelings,
plans, thoughts, these are what he sets on the scale... If there is
around or within you something prompting you to selfsatisfaction, reject it. Let God be all your certainty. Be poor in
him that he may fill you with himself.

THE CHURCH OFFERS A PLENARY INDULGENCE for the
souls in purgatory, which is obtainable by all those who, having
met the usual requirements, which include sacramental
confession, Mass and holy communion, and detachment
from all sin, visit a church or an oratory on the 2nd of
November and there pray an Our Father and the Creed.
Another Plenary indulgence is obtainable for departed souls
by anyone who, having met the requirements, visits a
cemetery on any day from the 1st to the 8th of December and
offers prayers for the dead.

San Agustín “Dios mío, ten compasión de mí que soy un
pecador.”
“Inclina tu oído, Señor, escúchame, que soy
humilde y pobre.” (Sal 85,1) El Señor no inclina su oído al rico
sino al pobre y miserable, al que es humilde y confiesa sus
faltas, al que implora la misericordia. No se inclina al
satisfecho que se jacta y se envanece como si nada le faltara y
que dijo: “Dios mío, te doy gracias porque no soy como el resto
de los hombres,... ni como ese publicano.” (Lc 18,11) El rico
fariseo exhibía sus méritos, el pobre publicano confesaba sus
pecados.
Todos los que rechazan el orgullo son pobres delante de
Dios y sabemos que Dios tiende su oído hacia los pobres y los
indigentes. Reconocen que su esperanza no puede apoyarse ni
en oro o plata ni en sus bienes que, por un tiempo, enriquecen
su morada... Cuando un hombre menosprecia en sí todo aquello
que infla el orgullo es pobre ante Dios. Dios inclina hacia él su
oído porque conoce los sufrimientos de su corazón.
Aprended, pues, a ser pobres e indigentes, teniendo o no
teniendo bienes de este mundo. Uno puede encontrar a un
mendigo orgulloso y a un rico convencido de su miseria. Dios
se niega a los orgullosos, tanto si van vestidos de seda o
cubiertos de harapos. Otorga su gracia a los humildes, sean o
no notables de este mundo. Dios mira lo interior: aquí examina
y juzga. Tú no ves la balanza de Dios. Tus sentimientos, tus
proyectos, los mete en el platillo... ¿Hay a tu alrededor o dentro
de ti algún objeto que estás tentado a retener para ti?
¡Recházalo! Que sólo Dios sea tu seguridad. ¡Estad
hambrientos de Dios para que él os sacie!

INDULGENCIAS PARA EL DÍA DE LOS FIELES
DIFUNTOS. Con motivo de la conmemoración de los
fieles difuntos la Iglesia concede indulgencias plenarias
aplicables a las benditas almas del Purgatorio.
Cumpliendo con las siguientes condiciones todo fiel
católico puede librar un alma del purgatorio.
A. 2 DE NOVIEMBRE: Visita una Iglesia/Oratorio
Se concede solo a: las almas del purgatorio, y fieles
cristianos
¿Qué se debe hacer? El día de todos los Fieles
Difuntos visite piadosamente una Iglesia u oratorio
(lugar de oración). En esta piadosa visita, se debe
rezar un Padrenuestro y Credo.
Dicha indulgencia podrá ganarse o en el día antes
indicado o, con el consentimiento del Ordinario, el
domingo anterior o posterior, o en la solemnidad de
Todos los Santos.
B. 1 AL 8 DE NOVIEMBRE: Visitas al cementerio:
Se concede solo a: las almas del purgatorio, y fieles
cristianos
¿Qué se debe hacer? Visitar piadosamente un
cementerio (aunque sea mentalmente y que oren por
los difuntos)
Para ganar una indulgencia plenaria, ADEMÁS de
querer evitar cualquier pecado mortal o venial, hace
falta cumplir tres condiciones:
1. Confesión sacramental
2. Comunión Eucarística y
3. Oración por las intenciones del Papa.
Las tres condiciones pueden cumplirse unos días antes o
después de rezar o hacer la obra que incorpora la
indulgencia, pero es conveniente que la comunión y la
oración por las intenciones del Papa se realicen el
mismo día rezando a su intención un solo
Padrenuestro y un Avemaría; pero se concede a cada
fiel la facultad de orar con cualquier fórmula, según su
piedad y devoción. La indulgencia plenaria únicamente
puede ganarse una vez al día, pero el fiel cristiano
puede alcanzar indulgencia plenaria in artículo mortis,
aunque el mismo día haya ganado otra indulgencia
plenaria
