Spanish Homework #8
Spanish Homework #8 Please turn in at least one written homework choice. The others are optional. The oral is important, and the more you practice the more your child will learn and get from class. Thank you for you r efforts at home. This makes your child more willing to participate in class, as he/she will want to show you what he knows. Foods: Ask your mom and dad if they like the following vegetables: el la el la tomate zanahoria pepino calabacita la la el el lechuga cebolla hongo col “¿Te gusta la lechuga? “ Do you like lettuce? “Sí, me gusta la lechuga.” Yes, I like lettuce. “No, no me gusta la lechuga.” No, I don’t like lettuce. Write about your parents’ favorite vegetables. Teach your mom or dad to say “I like…” in Spanish. A mi mamá le gusta la lechuga. A mi papá le gusta la lechuga. ******************************************************** Hot Potato in Spanish: You can do this game in Spanish. It goes like this: La manzana se pasea de la sala al comedor, No me piques con cuchillo, picame con tenedor. We will learn it in class and hopefully your child can share it with you at home. You pass a small toy or an apple around and the person holding it when the rhyme ends goes to the stewpot or the pie. When the next person enters the stewpot, the last person goes back to the circle. Try it with different fruits, veggies, or foods. Make an “ensalada de frutas” on-line at: http://www.juegosdecocina.tv/juegos-cocinar/37/Fruta.html On-line studies: Take a look at these fruits. Do the flashcards, and click “show image” so your child can hear the word and see the picture. There is also a matching game, but you may have to help your child read the words. Parents: Please make time to do the Spelling page with your child. Not only is it good practice, it is a great way for me to see what he/she knows!
