District and school staff, parent leaders and community partners are invited to participate
in FREE network sessions. Each network session agenda includes:
TOPIC
TIME
Parent Engagement Advisory meeting to plan for future types of parent engagement
services that can be sponsored by the Santa Clara County Office of Education and
community partners in Region V.
8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Regional Partnerships Network Representatives to the Curriculum and Instruction
Steering Committee (CISC) video conference to:
• provide parent education, training and coordinate the development of regional
workshops, conferences and resources;
• review parent engagement research data results and feedback from regional parent
engagement events; and
• plan for future types of parent engagement services that can be sponsored by
various regions and community partners.
9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Advanced training with Common Core Standards kits to:
• apply best practices in parent engagement programs;
• practice facilitation skills with Toastmaster leaders;
• practice facilitation skills on health and wellness workshop content;
• organize academic small group training; and
• apply effective instructional strategies.

District and school secondary site leadership
teams and parent leaders will:
 Review Region V Santa Clara County Office of
Education (SCCOE) Parent Engagement
Initiative.
 Understand Active Parenting training modules.
 Understand healthy school climate activities.
 Understand alignment of common core
standards to academic enrichment activities.
All participants will receive a certificate of
completion and two follow-up coaching sessions.
Registration Fees:
 $1,000 team of 5 – Includes Active Parenting
Standard Spanish kit with DVDs and five
participant English parent guides, and training
Training Location:
PowerPoint handouts.
 $200 for single registration

Equipos de liderazgo del los distritos y de las escuelas del K8vo grado participaran en lo siguiente:
 Revisaran la Iniciativa para la Participación de Padres de la
Región V de la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Santa
Clara (SCCOE).
 Entenderán los modelos de Padres Activos
 Entenderán las actividades para crear ambientes escolares
saludables.
 Entenderán el alineamiento de los objetivos estándares de
contenido para el enriquecimiento de las actividades
académicas.
Todos los participantes recibirán un certificado de finalización y
seguimiento de dos sesiones de entrenamiento.
El costo para registrarse es el siguiente:
 $1,000 por un equipo de 5 personas – esto incluye el material
“Estándar para Padres Activos” en español con DVDs y 5
guías para padres participantes en español, además de las
boletas informativas en el sistema PowerPoint y comida para
los participantes.
 $200 para la inscripción por persona.
 $75 por padre líder que regrese con su certificado de
finalización
