Problems encountered
Main problems to implement a MP:
- Lack of information on the distribution of fishing
effort and official statistics catches from the
recreational fishery.
- Monitoring and surveillance of this fishery is
difficult due to the vast number of landing points.
- Lack of scientific information concerning the
biology and stock unities of the species, in
general.
- Abundance estimates very scare.
- Lack of stock assessment information
