我們通過以下的課室活動,支持學生的有力
發展:
四至八年級:上個星期二晚的預防吸毒和飲酒的講
座,出席人數踴躍。感謝 Sofia, Charlene 和
Terra 組織和 Donna 出色的簡報。
幼稚園至五年級:專案進行良好。四/五年級的學
生以小組方式實驗電氣和磁力。幼稚園/一年級生
一直忙於在廚房烹飪和做說明。二/三年級的學生
在實驗振盪、音調、和聲音。
初中生:所有六至八年級的學生目前在讀 To Kill
A Mockingbird 一書,和演出讀者劇場的短劇。
看到很多學生分享共同的經驗和討論同一本書的主
題,非常動人。

Hello Families!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing spring
vacation. The weather definitely cooperated for some of it!
Here are some important upcoming dates for the end of the
year. Mark your calendars.
 K/1 Camping: THIS Thursday and Friday 4/07-4/08
 State Testing for grades 2-8: 4/18-4/29
 School Site Council: Thursday 4/21 6:00pm and Thurs 5/19

STRONG INDIVIDUALS
We support our students to be strong individuals
through the following classroom and school activities:
4-8: There was a spectacular turnout at the drug
and alcohol prevention workshop last Tuesday night.
Thank you to Sofia, Charlene and Terra for
organizing and Donna for a wonderful presentation.
K-5: Projects are well underway. 4/5 students have
been experimenting with electricity and magnetism in
small groups. K/1 students have been busy cooking in
the kitchen and describing their creations. 2/3
students have been experimenting with vibration,
pitch and sound.
MS: All students in 6-8 are reading To Kill A
Mockingbird and performing reader’s theater skits.
It’s powerful to see so many students having a
shared experience and talking about the themes of
the same book.
STRONG MINDS AND HEARTS
We celebrate the following students and family
members for practicing Virtues and Powerful Ways
of Thinking:
Sorry- short week before break so no assembly and
therefore no celebrations =( Many to come first
week back.

Espero que todos tuvieran una vacación de primavera
maravillosa y relajante. ¡Se cooperó el tiempo! Estas son
algunas fechas importantes para el fin del año escolar.

COMUNIDAD FUERTE
Apoyamos a los estudiantes a ser individuos fuertes a
través de estas actividades:
4-8: Había una audiencia tremenda para el taller
sobre la prevención de drogas y alcohol en martes
pasado. Gracias a Sofia, Charlene y Terra por
organizar y a Donna para una presentación
maravillosa.
K-5: Los proyectos están progresando bien. Los
estudiantes en grados 4/5 han estado
experimentando en grupos pequeños con la luz
eléctrica y el magnetismo. Los alumnos en grado K/1
han estado cocinando en la cocina y describiendo sus
creaciones. Los estudiantes en grados 2/3 han estado
experimentando con la vibración, el tono y el sonido.
Escuela Intermedia: Todos los alumnos en grados 6-8
están leyendo A Matar un Sinsonte y actuando
piezas de teatro de lectura. Es poderoso a ver a
tantos estudiantes con una experiencia compartida y
hablar sobre los temas del mismo libro.

Dear Students and Families, The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) recognize that is has been difficult for many families to pay for the cost of public transportation, especially during these tough economic times. Together, we are working on providing a limited number of free or reduced‐price Youth Lifeline Fast Passes to eligible students. If you are interested in being considered for a free or reduced‐price Youth Fast Pass, you must first complete the application on the back of this letter and then submit it to the address at the bottom of this page. Once received, we will process this application based on the Income Eligibility Guidelines (IEGs) set by federal government. We will then notify you of your eligibility and, if you are found eligible, we will provide you with further instructions.
