Dear Parents,
School trips are an integral part of the curriculum and one of the best ways to integrate students and help them to work
as a team. Each year, the Sec 2 pupils travel to Lago Nahuel Huapi near Bariloche, to spend a week performing outdoor
and group activities that are excellent for building teamwork and enhancing school spirit. It is therefore hoped that all
students will be able to attend this trip that will take place during the trips week in September, immediately before the
exeat. I shall be leading the trip along with three other teachers. Due to the nature of the trip we need at least eighty per
cent participation to be able to achieve our objectives.
The itinerary, which could change slightly, will be:
Day 1: Arrive at the Albergue Sur in Colonia Suiza, Nahuel Huapi. Canopy Circuit in the afternoon.
Day 2: Rafting on the Río Limay.
Day 3: Mountain biking from Lago Gutiérrez to the Albergue.
Day 4: Trekking on Cerro Llao Llao to Lake Escondido including orienteering, rope work and first aid.
Day 5: Climbing, zip wire and absailing at Cerro Otto.
Day 6: Leave Albergue to return to Buenos Aires.
The cost of the trip is $12200. The trip will leave, by plane (AR1686), on Saturday 5 September at 07.35 and return on
Thursday 10 September (AR1689) at 16.58. The parents have the opportunity to pay in one instalment or four monthly
instalments. Once authorization is given if the student is unable to travel 100% of the cost paid will be returned up to
60 days before the trip leaves, 50% up to 15 days and 0% afterwards.
Students that are unable to travel will either continue with special classes at school or be set tasks and projects to
perform at home.
Could you please complete the slip at the bottom of the page and return it to me before Monday 30 March. If you have
any questions that you would like to ask please feel free to contact me at the College. The subject will also be discussed
during the Parents Meeting on Friday 27 March.

Estimados Padres:
Los viajes educativos constituyen una parte fundamental de nuestro programa de estudios y una de las mejores formas
de integrar a nuestros alumnos y ayudarlos a trabajar en equipo. Todos los años, el grupo de ES 2 viaja al Lago
Nahuel Huapi, cerca de Bariloche, para realizar actividades grupales y al aire libre, que resultan excelentes para
fomentar el trabajo en equipo e incentivar el espíritu del colegio. Esperamos que todos los alumnos del curso puedan
participar de este viaje, que se realizará durante la semana anterior al receso de primavera. Yo participaré del mismo
junto con otros tres profesores. Dada la naturaleza del viaje, debemos contar con la participación de al menos el 80%
del curso para poder cumplir con los objetivos propuestos.
El itinerario, que puede sufrir cambios menores, es el siguiente:
Día 1:
Llegada al albergue Sur en Colonia Suiza, Nahuel Huapi. Por la tarde circuito de canopy.
Día 2:
Rafting en el río Limay.
Día 3:
Mountain biking desde el Lago Gutiérrez hasta el albergue
Día 4:
Trekking desde el cerro Llao Llao hasta el Lago Escondido con actividades de orientación, trabajos
con sogas y primeros auxilios.
Día 5:
Escalada, rappel y tirolesa en el Cerro Otto.
Día 6:
Salida del albergue para regresar a Bs. As.
El costo total asciende a $12.200. Saldremos en avión (AR1686) el sábado 5 de septiembre a las 7.35 y regresaremos
el jueves 10 de septiembre a las 16.58 (AR1689). Los padres tendrán la oportunidad de realizar un solo pago o
abonar el viaje en cuatro cuotas. Una vez firmada la autorización y en caso de que el alumno no pudiera participar
del mismo, se le devolverá el 100% si diera aviso hasta 60 días antes de la salida, 50% hasta 15 días antes y 0%
pasado ese período.
Los alumnos que no puedan viajar continuarán con clases especiales en el colegio o recibirán tareas y proyectos para
realizar en sus hogares.
Por favor, tengan a bien completar el talón adjunto y devolvérmelo antes del lunes 30 de marzo. En caso de desear
formular alguna consulta, no duden en comunicarse conmigo. Conversaremos sobre este tema durante la reunión de
padres del 27 de marzo.
