CELEBRATE NIÑOS (Children) WITH MUSIC, DANCE, AND ART
Family-friendly event to celebrate Día del Niño
DENVER — April 22nd, 2014 — The Mexican Cultural Center, Denver Art Museum, Consulate
General of Mexico in Denver, Denver Public Library, Clyfford Still Museum, History Colorado
Center, Byers-Evans House Museum, McNichols Civic Center Building, and Molly Brown House
have collaborated to make this event possible on April 27th, 2014, with FREE general admission all
day.
The activities at the Denver Art Museum will take place from 11a.m. to 2p.m. There will also be live
dance performances, hands-on craft activities for children, and bilingual family activities at some of
the institutions mentioned above from noon to 4p.m. The music and dance performances will be
presented by talented and lively young performers and there will also be a special appearance by the
Colorado Rockies mascot, Dinger.
Día del Niño, is a celebration that takes place in 120 countries around the world, and it celebrates the
importance of recognizing children and the crucial role they play in our communities.

Un día donde toda la familia puede disfrutar y celebrar el Día Del Niño
DENVER — 22 de abril del 2014 — El Centro Cultural Mexicano, Denver Art Museum, Consulado
General de México en Denver, Clyfford Still Museum, History Colorado Center, Byer-Evans House
Museum, McNichols Civic Center Building y Molly Brown House han colaborado en la realización de
este evento, el cual se llevará a cabo este domingo 27 de abril del 2014 e incluirá admisión general
gratuita todo el día.
Las actividades en el Museo de Arte (Denver Art Museum) se realizarán entre las 11AM y 2PM. Estas
actividades incluirán presentaciones de música y baile, manualidades, cuentacuentos y actividades
bilingües, las cuales también se llevaran a cabo en las demás instituciones de 12PM a 4PM. Habrá
voluntarios bilingües al servicio de los participantes en todas las instituciones. La celebración estará
llena de música y presentaciones por jóvenes talentosos así como la visita de Dinger, la mascota de
los Colorado Rockies.
La celebración del Día del Niño, la cual se lleva a cabo en 120 países alrededor del mundo,
destaca la importancia de los niños y el papel tan importante que desarrollan en nuestra
sociedad.
