With the new millennium,
a new Ocme, and in many
respects a renewed organisation. In fact, during
the year 2000 we began a major reorganisation that has radically changed
the way we undertake our business
and market strategy.
To explain in a few words all the changes we have made. With the considerable effort of all those involved, we had
a radical review of our methods, our
markets, our commercial strategy and
our approach to finding solutions.
Firstly, it is important to highlight the
achievements of the Ocme organisation
in the redesign of our products whilst
bearing in mind the functional aspects,
the procurement of components, assembly, commissioning, user friendly operation and maintenance for the end
user. Ocme has a team dedicated to
the development and testing of new
solutions with an R&D budget equal
to 3% of annual
turnover.
Today, using our
new production
procedures, we
can offer much shorter delivery terms than previously, whilst still
maintaining the flexibility to adapt to
the differing needs of our customers
and provide an improved level of finishing.
We have also increased our production
capacity with an additional 9000 sqm
assembly workshop at our HQ, centralising activities that were previously
located outside our plant.
The After Sales Service Department
has radically changed its method of
operation as we progress our policy of
decentralisation and now have our
engineers based all over the world.
We maintain a regular schedule of
training for our engineers from our
Agents around the world and we have
increased the number of engineers
based at our subsidiary companies.

Today, most of our customers can be
reached within a few hours by engineers of their own language.
Similarly, this strategy applies to our
stocks of spare parts which are located around the world to meet the differing needs and demand.
We are able to offer our customers
remote control, via modem, in order
to provide immediate assistance.
Commercially, we are opening new
markets whilst maintaining a strong
presence in our traditional areas. This
process is part of our continuous effort
to expand commercially. This is proven
by our participation in the many exhibitions, in different business sectors
throughout the world.
Parallel to all these changes are the
methods adopted by our Administration,
IT, Human Resources and Quality Control departments in the last year which
have gained the renewal of the ISO
9001.
This task that kept us busy last year
can be considered operational, allowing
Ocme to continue its program. With
this letter I would like to thank all those
within the Ocme organisation who have
continued to trust and work with passion and knowledge, allowing us to
achieve this situation.
We also offer our sincere thanks to all
our customers that have continued to
express a preference for our products.

El inicio del milenio ve a una
Ocme renovada en muchos
de sus aspectos organizativos.
Durante el año 2000 hemos empezado de
echo, una profunda reorganización que ha
llevado nuestra Sociedad a cambiar muchas
visiones estratégicas y maneras de entender
nuestro sector de trabajo.
En unas pocas palabras, los cambios que
han exigido un considerable esfuerzo por
parte de todas los interesados, fueron dirigidos a reflexionar sobre nuestra metodología de trabajo, el examen de nuestros mercados, las extrategias comerciales y un
modo diferente de discutir los problemas.
Desde el punto de vista de los proyectos de
máquinas y sistemas, es importante subrayar el esfuerzo realizado por Ocme para
rediseñar la gama de sus productos teniendo en cuenta no sólo el aspecto funcional,
sino también las implicaciones de abastecimientos de materiales, ensamblaje, puesta
en marcha y sencillez de uso y mantenimiento para el utilizador final.
Hoy, Ocme dedica alrededor del 3% de su
facturado en investigacionón y desarrollo
(R. & D.), através de un grupo de técnicos
dedicados solamente a experimentar y a
implementar nuevas tecnologías.
Los resultados exitosos se pueden ver en
las páginas siguientes con productos industrializados, más fiables, definidos, fáciles
de usar e incluso versátiles. Son prueba de
nuestro éxito el número siempre mayor de
clientes que siguen comprando Ocme.
El Dpto. de producción ha mejorado muchos
de sus aspectos operativos. Hoy podemos
ofrecer fechas de entrega más cortos entre
las de los últimos años, manteniendo una
flexibilidad para adaptarnos a las diferentes
exigencias de los clientes y con niveles de
acabado de las máquinas superiores.
Es importante además mencionar el inicio
de operatividad de nuevas plantas de 9000
mc que nos han permitido llevar dentro de
la Sede de via del Popolo actividades que
tradicionalmente estaban descentradas.
Nuestro Dpto. de Servicio de Asistencia ha
cambiado en una manera significativa su
manera de pensar. Siempre que sea posible
se envían técnicos ubicados en áreas cercanas a la planta del utilizador final, implementando en una manera muy eficaz pro-
gramas de training por técnicos que trabajan con nuestros Agentes. Han aumentado
considerablemente, no sólo numéricamente
sino también cualitativamente, los técnicos
en nuestras filiales. Hoy la mayoría de
nuestros clientes son visitados en pocas
horas por nuestros técnicos que a menudo
habla el idioma local del cliente, con evidentes ventajas para los ambos.
Nuestros almacenes de repuestos siguen
la misma estrategia; de momento tenemos
almacenes de repuestos estructurados por
tipologías de máquinas locales ubicados
en posiciones estratégicas a fin de entregar
en pocas horas en todas las áreas.
Ofrecemos además a los clientes la posibilidad de asistencia técnica de su máquina
vía modem.
Desde el punto de vista comercial, estamos
empezando acciones muy agresivas en nuevos sectores, manteniendo mientras una
fuerte presencia en nuestros sectores tradicionales y, desde un punto de vista geográfico, la apertura de nuevos mercados ha
seguramente aiudado a esta ulterior expansión comercial que aún está siguiendo. Nuestro esfuerzo de presencia en numerosas
ferias de diferentes sectores en diferentes
Continentes es sin duda una prueba.
Muchos otros sectores, paralelamente, han
cambiado e implementado un nuevo modo
de trabajar: se trata de la Administración,
la "Information Technology", los Recursos
Humanos, el Control Calidad a quien se le
aseguró el renovación del certificado ISO
9001.
Este trabajo que ha exigido tiempo y esfuerzo
el año pasado, al día de hoy puede considerarse activo, permitiendo a Ocme de seguir
en su programa.
Deseo aprovechar la ocasión para agradecer
a todas las personas al interior de la organización Ocme que nos han dado confianza
y que han seguido trabajando con pasión
y competencia permitiéndonos llegar a la
situación actual. Gracias también a todos
los clientes que han demostrado confianza

OCME, que se vale de una
experiencia más de treinta años en
la proyección de sistemas de
embalaje secundario, recientemente
introdució en el mercado la nueva
serie de enfardadoras Vega N, que integra la
operación de re-proyecto ya realizada sobre la
gama a baja cadencia llamada Vega S.
El proyecto completo, que también incluye la
gama de encartonadoras Altair, se basa en la
fuerte industrialización del producto, desde una
óptica de estandarización de los modelos.
La serie Vega N cubre las cadencias medioaltas y por lo tanto viene destinada a soluciones
de líneas de embotellado muy veloces: la gama
incluye versiones film solamente, con plancha
de cartón y con bandeja y puede trabajar en 1,
2 o 3 pistas, consiguiendo velocidades que varian
de 50 a 450 fardos/minuto, en función del tipo
de envases (latas, botellas, multipacks, etc.) y
de la configuración del paquete final.
El proyecto Vega ha sido desarrollado por el
departamento de Investigación y Desarrollo
OCME, teniendo en cuenta de factores de
accesibilidad, manutención, ruido reducido,
sencillez y prestaciones elevadas.
La máquina puede definirse exento de
manutención ordinaria, gracias a los
componentes auto-lubricantes, a las cintas de
transmisión en poliuretano que garantizan un
bajo nivel de ruido, a la eliminación casi total
de cadenas de transmisión y a la utilización de
motores brush-less.
La termoenfardadora serie Vega fue concebida
al fin de tener una accesibilidad total para las
operaciones de manutención y restablecimiento
de las condiciones operativas. Fue puesta gran
atención en la realización del horno de
termoretracción, proyectado para obtener fardos
perfectos con el menor consumo eléctrico posible.
El sistema de cableado Profibus® reduce
notablemente el número de conexiones en campo
obteniendo grandes ventajas en concepto de
modularidad y flexibilidad del sistema eléctrico,
y dimensiones reducidas del armario eléctrico.
Vega N se propone entonces como un producto
que a soluciones extremamente innovadoras se
precisa bajos costes de gestión y facilidad de
conducción, haciéndola ideal para soluciones
de embalaje secundario flexibles que requieren
una rápida recuperación de la inversión.

OCME, with 30 years of experience
in designing and installing
secondary packaging systems, has
recently launched a new range of
Vega N shrink-wrap packers, which integrate
with the recently renewed range of medium-low
machines named Vega S. The entire project,
which has even included the range of Altair
wraparound packers, is based on a strong
industrialisation of products, aimed at
standardising production cycles.
The Vega N series of machines cover mediumhigh speed capacities and are therefore suitable
for high speed bottling lines: the range includes
versions with film only, film and pad, film and
tray, with the ability of working on 1, 2 or 3
tracks. Speeds range from 50 to 450
packs/minute depending on the type of container
(cans, bottles, multipacks, etc.) and the
configuration of the final pack.
The OCME R&D department developed the Vega
project, taking into consideration accessibility,
maintenance, reduced noise, high simplicity
and performance. The machine is practically
free from ordinary maintenance, thanks to the
self-lubricating parts, transmission chains made
of polyurethane for low noise, a reduced number
of transmission chains and the use of brushless motors.
The Vega series of shrink-wrap packers are
conceived with total access for the operator
and the ability to quickly restart to operating
conditions after a stoppage. Great care has
been placed in the design of the thermoshrinking oven, so to obtain perfect bundles
with the lowest electrical power consumption.
The Profibus® wiring system dramatically
reduces the number of field connections and
has advantages in terms of modularity, the
flexibility of the electrical installation and the
reduction in the size of the control panel. Vega
N represents an extremely innovative solution,
combining low operating costs and ease in
operation, making it an ideal system for flexible
packaging solutions that require a fast return
on investment.

DANNON USA
Dannon USA, one of the main mineral water
bottlers in North America, has commissioned
Ocme to supply the secondary packaging and
palletising systems for 4 new bottling lines at
their California, Florida and Texas plants.
The extremely flexible twin lines will produce
different sales units on the same packaging
installation. A typical line is made of a Vega
60/2 shrink-wrap packer to produce multipacks in printed film, a Vega 50/V tray packer,
a Perseus LV2 palletiser and a pallet
stretchwrapper. OCME has also supplied all
the conveying systems for packs and pallets.
With this latest order, OCME has sold a total
of 28 machines for different plants owned by
the Dannon group in North America.
DANNON EEUU
Dannon EEUU, uno de los principales
embotelladores de agua mineral del Norte
América, encargó a Ocme sistemas de embalaje
secundario y paletizado por 4 nuevas líneas
de embotellado realizados en las plantas de
California, Florida y Texas. Se trata de líneas
gemelas extremamente flexibles que permiten
producir diferentes unidades de venta en la
misma línea de embalaje.
La línea típica se compone de una primera
enfardadora por multipack con film impreso
mod. Vega 60/2, una enfardadora con bandeja
mod. Vega 50/V, un paletizador mod. Perseus
LV2 y una envolvedora de paletas. Con este
último pedido OCME suma un total de 28
máquinas en las distintas plantas de propiedad
del grupo Dannon en Norte-América.

HEINEKEN ITALY
Heineken Italy has chosen Ocme equipment
for the end of line packaging systems at their
plants in Aosta and Comun Nuovo (BG). The
Pollein factory (Aosta) is actually in the stages
of completion of a new installation of an Altair
N 60 wraparound packer to pack 66cl bottles
in cases of 6 and 15. At the end of the line, a
Pegasus M 400 robot with a gripping unit for
complete layers and a Pegasus UP 165 for
empty pallets quality control, will be supplied.
For the brewery in Comun Nuovo (BG), Ocme
will supply two secondary packaging systems
for 33cl and 66cl bottles (loose and in clusters).
Various configurations will be packed in
cardboard cases and shrinkwrapped bundles
with pad or tray, thanks to the use of a Vega
S 60/V shrink-wrap packer and an Altair N 60
wraparound packer.

Heineken Italia eligió Ocme por el fin de línea
de las plantas de Aosta y Comun Nuovo (BG).
En Pollein (Aosta) está terminando la
instalación de una línea de embalaje que
aprovecha de las potencialidades de la nueva

cl confeccionadas en cajas de 6 y de 15 botellas.
Para el final de línea es utilizado un robot para

Even the range of wrap-around

updated, taking advantage of
the common project of the Vega

use the same technology (container infeed
unit, pack formation unit, safety guarding,
electrical installation, etc).

The Altair range is for throughputs ranging
from 25 to 80 cases per minute and
models are available both as a standard
version and with the option of automatic
partition insertion (particularly required by
the wine and spirits industry).
The great accessibility to all areas of the
machine, the ergonomic blank magazine
and the absence of moving parts in the
lower section of the frame, are design points
which are extremely appreciated by
operators.

Size changes are simplified by the use of
automatic regulation systems driven by
servo-motors for most parts of the machine.
There is practically no maintenance thanks
to the simplified and low number of
mechanical parts. The operator console
features a user friendly graphics interface,
which helps enormously with machine
settings and troubleshooting.
To complete the range of secondary
packaging machines, the Gemini combines
the functions of wrap-around case packers
with shrink-wrap packers, giving the
flexibility of producing cases, trays and
shrinkwrapped trays on the same machine.

THE ULTIMATE TOOL FOR
PROCUREMENT OF SPARE PARTS
New software, which simplifies the identification
and ordering of spare parts, is now available for
all new models of Altair wraparound packers and
Vega shrink-wrappers. The software is installed
on the machine's PC and can also be loaded on
desktop computers in order to carry out a search
for the required part using machine drawings.
Once the part is chosen, an order form can be
automatically completed and sent directly to the
Spare Parts Department using e-mail or fax.

pieza, se rellena automáticamente un impreso
de pedido que puede venir inviado directamente
a través del correo electrónico o vía fax al
servicio repuestos Ocme.

In a market such as the Tissue
Industry, which has recorded a rapid
rate of growth in the last 5 years and
forecasts further developments for
next 10, Ocme plays a leading role in the design
and supply of end-of-line systems. Returning
from the recent Tissue World in Nice, where
Giuliano Puglia (Business Manager for the Tissue
industry) was among the speakers of the official
convention of the exhibition, we obtained
interesting feedback with regard to the innovative
solutions proposed by Ocme. The layer gripping
system of the packs (an Ocme patent) guarantees
the palletisation of a complete layer, without
interfering with the packages already loaded; a
problem commonly seen with alternative systems
which use single or multiple gripper heads. The
well proven gripper for complete layers ensures
a reliable, high performance solution for large
packages as well as small sales units. On the
same line, various pack shapes and dimensions
can be handled, without the need for any
mechanical adjustments. The integration of laser
guided shuttles, makes a very advanced solution
for the Tissue industry; a solution already selected
from Ocme by many major European and North
American producers.

mercado siempre a la búsqueda de nuevos
estímulos. El sistema de toma de los paquetes
(patente Ocme) garantiza la extracción y depósito
del piso completo sin que la pinza interfiera con
los paquetes ya colocados, como ocurre
habitualmente en los sistemas de toma simple
o múltiple. La pinza toma piso asegura una
solución fiable (ya muy testada) tanto para
grandes paquetes como para confecciones
display, y garantiza elevadas velocidades en
términos de capacidad productivas. La alta
flexibilidad del sistema (en la misma línea se
pueden paletizar confecciones de distintas forma
y dimensiones, sin necesidad de cambio formato),
enriquecida de la integración de carros naveta
a guía láser, hacen del proyecto de fin de línea
OCME para el Tissú, una solución indudablemente
de vanguardia, ya seleccionada por los mayores
europeos y norteamericanos.

work both with simple large formats as well
as small sales units.

Industrie Cartarie Tronchetti, a well known
producer in the Lucca tissue industrial area,
has commissioned Ocme to supply a palletising
system for a new tissue mill that has been
opened by the group in Poland. Tronchetti,
manufacturers of among others, the Foxy brand,
decided to expand its activities outside Italian
borders and, based on previous experience
of Ocme equipment at their Italian plants,
chose Ocme technology for their plant ICT
Poland in Kostrzyn; a Polish town situated along
the border with Germany, 100 km from Berlin.
The installation is composed of two palletising
systems, equipped with 2 Pegasus M 250 robots
with complete layer gripper (Ocme patent). The
system, when completed, will handle
approximately 50 formats of kitchen rolls and
hygienic paper, with speeds varying between
10 to 250 bundles per minute.
UNA LINEA TISSÚ PARA POLONIA
La "Industrie Cartarie Tronchetti", renombrado
productor de tissú del polo papelero de Lucca,
ha encargado a Ocme un sistema de paletizado
para una nueva industria papelera abierta por
el grupo en Polonia. Tronchetti, productor entre
los otros, de la marca Foxy, decidió entonces
extender sus actividades al extranjero y elegió
la fiabilidad de los sistemas Ocme, ya
ampliamente testados en las plantas italianas,
por la planta ICT Poland en Kostrzyn, ciudadela
polaca situada en la frontera con Alemania,
a 100 km de Berlín.
El sistema está compuesto por dos líneas de
palettizado, equipadas de 2 robot Pegasus M
250 dotados de cabezal de toma piso completo
(patente Ocme). El sistema, en regímen, tratará
aprox. 50 formatos de papel de secado y papel
higiénico, con velocidades variables entre 10
y 250 fardos/min.

Empty pallet quality can often be a problem,
especially for large plants with centralised
palletising systems and high pallet usage. For the
Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc (Group Femsa, Mexico),
OCME has studied a sophisticated pallet checking
system at the outfeed of their Antares depalletisers,
using a Pegasus UP 165 Robot with 6 axes
movements.
Instead of using optical detection systems, the
robots offered by OCME use mechanical controls
to carry out a series of tests on the upper and lower
surfaces of the empty pallets. Even a broken board
which is not out of place, can be immediately
detected and the pallet discarded.
El problema de la calidad de los pallets, se
ha tenido siempre en mucha consideración,
especialmente en grandes plantas donde se
relevan los volúmenes de pallets tratados al
día. Para la Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc (Grupo
Femsa, Mexico), OCME estudió sofisticados
sistemas de control pallets a la salida de los
depaletizadores de la serie Antares, utilizando
robot Pegasus UP 165 a 6 ejes. Al contrario
de los sistemas a reconocimiento óptico, los
robots desarrollados por OCME efectuan un
exhaustivo control mecánico de los ejes de los
pallets, tanto en la parte superior como en la
inferior, así que incluso un pallet con un eje
estropeado pero en línea con los otros , es
inmediatamente reconocido y rechazado.
In the last decade, the use of robotics
has become more and more prevalent
in palletising installations in many
industries, replacing the traditional
palletising systems using layer transfer technology.
OCME, with a 30 year tradition in manufacturing
palletising systems for a wide variety of products,
began to appreciate the
new possibilities
offered by robotics in
the early 90's.
Today, after a decade
of experience, Ocme
has acquired a high
degree of knowledge in the
planning and
manufacturing of
palletising solutions for
the producers of
consumer goods.
Important advances in
the capacities offered by
industrial robots have
widened the range of
possible applications.
Improvements have been obtained in the
maximum payload (now at 400 kg) and in
the operating speed (up to 15
cycles/minute).
Further advancements are undoubtedly
possible within a short period, permitting
an even stronger use of robots in the
industry.
Compared to the newcomers, OCME
has the vast benefit of past experience
in the management of traditional
palletising systems, which have
similar problems in terms of logistics
and management of production.
Considerable experience has already
been acquired in the construction
of gripping heads specifically
designed for the specific packs
to be handled. Moreover, Ocme is
in a position to integrate auxiliary
systems, such as bar-code readers, flow
control software, pallet stretch-wrappers and laser
guided shuttle cars for the management of the
empty/loaded pallets between the end of the
production lines and the warehouse.

tradicionales, con problemáticas afines en términos de
lógistica y gestión de los flujos de producto. De todas
maneras adquirió una considerable experiencia en la
construcción de cabezales de toma realizadas
especificatamente en función a los productos a tratar
y además es capaz de integrar los sistemas auxiliares,
como lectores de código de barras, software de gestión
de los flujos, envolvedoras de paletas, y además los
recientes sistemas de carro naveta a guía láser para
la gestión de los pallets vacíos sin ocupar el espacio
entre el fin de línea y el almacén.

Ocme has been rewarded with much success
recently in applying the technology of Pegasus
robots to their palletising systems. Some recent
successes include Shell Turkey for a palletising
system for cardboard cases, using a multiple pack
gripper. As previously mentioned, Heineken of
Aosta has commissioned a system with complete
layer gripper to handle cases containing beer
bottles. Lever, for their plant in Pozzilli, has selected
2 Pegasus M 160 robots for two packaging lines
for liquid detergents. Also, the Italian pasta factory
Rana has then renewed their confidence in Ocme's
capability by ordering another Pegasus robot to
join the 3 existing units.

The new series of electronic weight
fillers, Libra R5, represents the
ideal solution for the filling of
viscous liquids granting high
hygienic features and filling accuracy. Frequent
changes of product require thorough rinsing
of the contact parts (header tank, nozzles, etc.).
In this respect, the tank of the Libra R5 rotary
filler has been designed in a conical shape,
without any mechanical parts inside, thus
avoiding the possibility of stagnation of the
product. The special shape of the tank creates
sufficient height to generate the ideal filling
pressure, whilst also maintaining a reduced
total volume. The drives of the filling nozzles
are mounted externally on the tank, so as
not to interfere with the flow of the product.
They can even be easily disassembled for
extraordinary cleaning. The structure of the
tank is made entirely in stainless steel AISI
316, with the possibility to cover the inner walls
with teflon or halar, as required for particularly
aggressive products.

de productos necesitan lavados esmerados
de las partes a contacto con eso (tolva, toberas,
etc.). En esta óptica, la tolva de la llenadora
Libra R5 fue concebida sin partes mecánicas
en su interno, de manera que se eviten
remansos del producto, sin soldaduras y
impedimentos, con una forma tronco-cónica,
obteniendo una altura suficiente para crear la
presión necesaria por el llenado, aunque
manteniendo un volumen total reducido.
Los mandos de las boquillas están
posicionados al exterior de la tolva, de manera
que no interfieran con el flujo del producto.
Además son fácilmente desmontables para
proceder a limpiezas extraordinarias.
La estructura de la tolva está realizada en
acero inox AISI 316 con posibilidad de recubrir
las paredes interiores con teflon o halar, para
productos particularmente agresivos.

Further developments have been made, based on demands coming from personal care and
household products industry, on the possibility of filling 2 products simultaneously in the same
container (aromas, coloring, inert gases, etc.). Various solutions are possible depending on the
amount of product to be filled. For up to 10%, an in-built injector inside the nozzle is used to
introduce small amounts of a second product during the filling phase of the primary product.
For greater amounts (up to 50%) a solution with patented special nozzles is available.

LIBRA: A WORLDWIDE SUCCESS
A great success for Libra R5 weight fillers: from Italy to the
United States, plus the Middle East, India, China and Korea, the
new series of Libra rotary weight fillers has met the requirements
of important companies in the fields of lubricating oils, household
detergents and chemical products. Madel, one of the main Italian
producers of detergents for domestic use, has recently chosen
a Libra R5 B24 weight filler. A complete filling line has been
commissioned by Nice Detergents (China), in their plant located
in the region of Zhejiang: one Libra with 48 filling heads along
with a pick & place cartoning unit and a Perseus low level
palletiser, will be part of the line. Two important orders from
lndia have consolidated the presence of Ocme in this important
market: two Libra R5 delivered to Bharat Petroleum for the
filling of lubricating oils, and two lines for filling and palletising
of 200 kg drums commissioned by India Oil Co. Last but not
least, Coastal Unilube (USA) has renewed their confidence in
Ocme technology, commissioning one Libra R5 A16 rotary weight
filler for their plant in Memphis.

Gran éxito para la Libra R5: de Italia a EEUU, pasando por Oriente
Medio , India, Cina y Corea, la nueva serie de llenadoras ponderales
ha encontrado las simpatías de importantes firmas productoras
en los sectores de los aceites lubricantes, de los detergentes
por uso doméstico y de los productos químicos. Madel, uno de

An independent test unit has been created
inside Ocme to experience the effects of the
filling of viscous liquids. Thanks to
sophisticated equipment of measurement and
a permanent weight filling station, Ocme R&D
Department is in a position to test customers'
products, even at an early stage of the project.
The continuous research work gained by use
of the new experimental station and carried
out by a prepared group of mechanical and
electronic engineers, allows continuous
improvements to be made to the standard
machines.

Ocme has been present since 1969 in the edible oils
industry, with a number of installations of volumetric
fillers in major key player companies. For several
recent installations they have now successfully
experienced weight filling technology.
In the Middle East in particular, where the market is rapidly
expanding, Ocme has recently completed installations of filling
lines for two customers. For Margarine (Iran) where the problem
was to fill food fats (particularly difficult to handle because the
product is practically solid at ambient temperature), a complete
packaging line has been installed from the filler up to the
palletiser.
The rotary weight filler Libra R 30/10, is thermally insulated in
order to allow the filling of warm product, which is then packaged
in metallic cans of 17 and 4.5 kg. The rest of the line is composed
of shrink-wrap packer Vega S 40 with pad insertion and a
Perseus palletiser.
After that, three packaging and palletising lines have been
ordered by Behshar (Iran) to complete existing
lines. The empty pallet feeding system and the
collection of loaded pallets, has been centralised
by using a shuttle car running on rails.
This installation has joined the previous one
installed by Ocme end of september 2000 for
Bheshar. This complete line (probably the first in
Iran for edible oil in PET) is composed by an
unscrambler, a Libra R5 weight filler, a pick & place
cartoner and a Perseus palletiser.
Finally, to increase the capacity of packaging
operations at their plant in Oneglia (Italy), the
company F.lli Carli (one of the great Italian olive
oil producers) has commissioned 2 Altair A 30
wraparound packers with partitions insertion for
glass bottles.

principales productores italianos de aceite de aceituna) encargó
a Ocme el suministro de 2 encartonadoras wraparound con
separadores Altair A 30.
