Students and staff are excited about the fun and learning that has transpired and are looking forward to the remaining two weeks. Students are brushing up on academics, choosing enrichment experiences, including STEM, robotics, cooking, swimming, Shakespeare, binary coding, career readiness, robotics, outdoor adventure, violin, cello, guitar, and voice lessons. See photo collage below on page 2. July 22, 2016 We are enjoying the beautiful summer weather and have begun our neighborhood walks. This past Wednesday and Thursday I was joined by HPS staff as we travelled through the Wards 6 and 1 neighborhoods, meeting families, students and friends from McMahon, Sullivan and Kelly Schools. We enjoyed listening to stories and visiting the neighborhoods. If you missed out on these walks, there are several more scheduled this summer. Next week, we will be visiting the Morgan and Donahue neighborhoods. Please see page 3 for details and schedule. I invite you to join in on the fun, make some new friends, and get some exercise with us. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Sincerely, Steve Bevan Brunelle, Kelly School middle school science teacher, shares a smile with one of her students. Children and parents repeatedly expressed their excitement for this visit to their neighborhoods this summer.
