Dear Friends in Christ,
First of all, I would like to thank you for the great birthday celebration you gave me on the 5 th of February. I
had a great time and Homer also enjoyed it. The potluck-style gathering also displayed a good sense of community among all members of the parish, English speaking and Spanish speaking. I hope we can get together as a parish like this more
often so that we can all get to know each other better.
I finally decided on a day and time when I would like to host An Evening with the Pastor, where we can get to know each other better.
This will be a Town Hall type of meeting where you can ask me questions about the parish and share on the history of the parish (to help
me get a better understanding of some of the traditions here). There will be 4 topics which will be discussed: Liturgy/Mass, Sacraments/
Religious Education, Building/Grounds and Finances. I wanted to have this meeting before the end of January but that was not possible.
The meeting will take place on Saturday, February 26th, at 6:30PM in the Parish Hall. I will try to find someone to help with beverages and
appetizers but I can’t guarantee it.
Finally, I have added 2 new items to the Paris Wish List: (1) I need a small refrigerator (dorm-room style) for the sacristy for the altar wine.
(2) I need bigger bulletin boards for the vestibule of the Church. With bigger boards we can organize announcements better.

Estimados hermanos en Cristo:
En primer lugar, les quiero dar las gracias por la gran celebración que me hicieron el 5 de febrero por mi cumpleaños.
Me pase un buen tiempo y Homer también lo disfruto. La
comida estilo potluck nos dio un buen sentido de comunidad para los de habla inglesa y habla español. Espero que
podamos reunirnos así como comunidad más seguido para
poder conocernos mejor.
Al final decidí la fecha y hora para Una Tarde con el Párroco
donde nos podemos empezar a conocer mejor los unos a los
otros. En esta reunión me podrán hacer preguntas y compartir la historia de la parroquia (para que me ayuden a
comprender mejor algunas de las tradiciones de aquí). Habrán cuatro temas que se discutirán: Liturgia/ Misa, Sacramentos/Educación Religiosa, Edificios/Terreno, y finanzas.
Era mi deseo tener esta reunión a los fines de enero pero no
fue posible. La reunión tomará lugar el sábado, 26 de febrero, a las 6:30 PM en el salón de la parroquia. Intentaré encontrar ha alguien que me ayude con bebidas y aperitivos
pero no lo puedo garantizar.
Finalmente, he agregado dos cosas a la Lista de Deseos para
la Parroquia: 1) Un refrigerador pequeño para la sacristía
para el vino del altar. 2) Necesito carteleros más grandes en
la entrada de la iglesia. Con carteleros más grandes podemos organizar mejor nuestros anuncios.
