1. Introduction
In this manual are described the procedures for importation and
exportation of equines, sanitary requirements, transportation for
delegations and Officials, feeding, grooms accommodation and reserve
athletes, during the XII Central American & Caribbean Games
2.General
Conditions
Rules for Participation. For further information, see under respective
discipline.
As soon as NFs have presented their entries, October 14, 2014, all Chefs
d´Equipe, Athletes, also on behalf of the horse owners, as well as their
employees/grooms, representatives and accompaniments are requested,
upon arrival at the Venue, to acknowledge and keep within the FEI Code of
Conduct and all applicable FEI rules and regulations, including but not
limited to the Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Regulations,
as well as to behave according to ethical principles in common practice.
Violations will be dealt by the respective Ground Jury or Appeal
Committee. The FEI’s Anti-doping Rules for Human Athletes will also be
applicable. All Athletes and Chefs d´Equipe must sign the Code of Conduct
to the Secretariat upon arrival. (See Annex I)

3. Competition Venue
The XXII Central American & Caribbean Games 2014 will take place on the grounds
of the COAPEXPAN (Dressage and Jumping Disciplines) and on the grounds
of Centro de Adiestramiento Hipico PEROTE (Eventing)
4. Training Areas
Practice arenas and practice obstacles will be available to Athletes on the
competition Venue according to a Time Table. Riding outside these arenas and
outside schedule times is not permitted. The training areas will be controlled by
Stewards and priority will be given to the discipline according to the schedule.
5. Liability
The OC declines any liability for property or pecuniary damage which may
happen to visitors, athletes, grooms, h o r s e s and horse owners. The OC also
declines any liability for theft, fire or other incidents.
By making the definite entries each athlete declares that he/she has taken notice
of the schedule and exclusion of the liability as set out in the schedule and that the
athlete explicitly agrees therewith. All athletes are required to sign the waiver
and Chefs d´Equipe are required to submit the form to the Secretariat upon
arrival.
6. Insurance
All Chefs de Mission, Chefs d´Equipe, Athletes, Owners, Trainers, Team
Veterinarians and their accompaniments are personally responsible for damages to
third persons caused by themselves, their employees/grooms, their agents
or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out a third-party
insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at
home and abroad, and to keep policy up to date. The OC/FEI will NOT be
responsible for any damage caused by Athletes, their horses, NF Officials, their
employees/ grooms or their representatives.FEI Veterinarians treating horses are
advised to have adequate coverage for professional indemnity insurance.
Medical, physiotherapeutic, veterinary, farrier services
Medical, Veterinary and Farrier Services will be available on the Venue from
November 11th , 2014 through November 30th, 2014. Services are provided at the
Athlete/ NF´s expense.

7. Equine Services
The Venues opens N o v e m b e r 1 1 t h , 2 0 1 4 through December 2nd, 2014.
Perote will be closing November 24th , 2014
8.Arrival procedures (see Annex II)
All participants are advised to clarify the requirements with the Authorities of Mexico with regard to the importation of
horses of countries of origin well in advance
Equines participating in the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games 2014, are
required to be imported to Mexico City Airport - Benito Juarez, in
accordance with the requirements established by the Mexican Department of
Agriculture (SAGARPA).
*All arrivals must be scheduled with the OC.
*Horses may not be unloaded without the authorisation of the OC.
*Horses will be stabled by discipline.
* No horses will be allowed to come by truck, or land in other airport but International Airport
Benito Juarez.
Horse passport and veterinary documents –including health certificates- are to be
submitted to the official Veterinarian immediately after the arrival of the horses
on the Venue.
Passports will not be returned until all accounts with the XXII Central American & Caribbean
Games are settled.
If a team veterinary needs to declare medicines and other veterinary treatments they must do it in writing
directly with SAGARPA in advance, so that they can proceed to authorise this importation.
NO medicines/Supplements or equipment other than tack will be allowed to come with the horses.
The official Agent for the import/export of horses for the XXII Central American & Caribbean
Games is AMWAT. The Mexican Equestrian Federation highly recommends working with them.
FEM will bare no responsibility with other agents hired.

9. Daily Fee: Feed, Hay and Bedding,
A charge of $120.00 per day per horse will be charge. Payment needs to be
DIRECTLY to the Mexican Equestrian Federation by wire transfer previous to
the arrival of the horses or in cash upon arrival at the show office. Proof of
payment will be requested for all wire transfers.
Quality items (Feed, Hay , Bedding) will be provided by the OC included in the cost
charged per day /per horse.
Other supplements will be offered a the cost of each NOC. List provided in Annex III.
Federations wishing to buy other feeds or products locally are welcomed to do it at
their own cost.
The Mexican Federation and the OC will only guarantee products provided directly
by them.
The Mexican Department of Agriculture (SAGARPA) will not permit the import of
hay, feed, supplements, cereal grains or bedding into Mexico.
Ice will be free of charge.

10.Tack Stalls
The OC will provide tack stalls according to FEI requirements. –One box per 4
(four) horses
11. Arrival of Delegations
Delegations will be hosted at VERACRUZ AIRPORT ONLY (VER).
No transportation will be provided by the OC from Mexico City or XALAPA’s
Airport. Delegations will then transported by the OC to the accreditation center and
later to their hotels.
NOCs should inform the OC so that arrangements can be done.

12. Accreditations
12.1 Official Accreditations
All OFFICIAL Accreditations to be picked up at the MUSEO INTERACTIVO DE
XALAPA
Delegations arriving at VERACRUZ airport will be driven by the OC to pick up their accreditations.
Other delegations arriving at different airports should drive to MUSEO INTERACTIVO XALAPA,
to pick up accreditations.

12.2 Additional Accreditations (See annex IV)
Additional Accreditations can be requested with the FEM for the following functions
ONLY:
- 2 Horse Owners (in the passport)
- Additional Grooms (additional to the one groom per horse declared)
- Additional Vets
- Additional Coaches
- Farriers
A list needs to be provided by the Chef D’Equipe from each nation, listing all additional
personnel which needs to be accredited.
A form will need to be filled NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 1st and will need to
be pre approved by the person in charge of additional accreditations, Mr. Javier
Fernandez de Alba.
A cost of $100.00 per additional accreditation will be charged (except for horse
owners that appear on the passport ) .
Veterinarians must meet the criteria of being FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarians
before accreditation will be valid

13. Meals ,Accommodation & Transportation Of Delegations
The XXII Central American & Caribbean Games 2014, will provide accommodation
for Athletes, Chefs d´Equipe, Team Veterinarians.
Athletes, Chef d’ Equipe, Team Veterinarians will all be accommodated in Xalapa.
COVER will directly inform the NOC of their accommodation.
Members of the official delegation will be given breakfast & Dinner at their hotels.
The MEX NF will provide member of the official delegation with a daily fee of
$20.00/day for LUNCH. Please note this will apply 4 days before the event starts
and up to the last day of competition.
DRESSAGE - November 11th - November 19th
EVENTING - November 16th - November 23rd
JUMPING - November 21st - November 29th.
Daily fee will need to be picked up by Chef d’ Equipes at the show office.
We request each Federation to send us copy of the duly signed by their NOC
declaring the official conformation of your delegation.
13.1 Transportation Of Delegations
Each National Federation will be granted transportation to a from the hotels/sport
venues in relation to the number of individuals in their delegation. Upon arrival
NOCs will organise this and schedules will depend on the needs of your athletes.
Grooms in XALAPA will have a schedule posted at Posada XALLAPAN for shuttle
services.
Grooms at Perote will not be needing transportation as they will be staying at the
venue.

14. Reserve Athletes & Horses
Reserve Athletes will travel by their own responsibility. The cost of Traveling,
Accommodation, Meals, etc. will not be met by the OC
Reserve Horses will be accommodated per discipline at the designated OFFICIAL
venues.
All costs for these horses to be covered by each NOC.
15. GROOMS
Grooms: 1 for every horse
In case a Federation would like to request additional grooms they need to follow
procedure listed in Annex IV
Please take note payment needs to be done through your Olympic Committee or directly to FEM.
In case the payment is done through your NOC, Chef d’Equipes MUST present proof of payment.
15. 1 MEALS & ACCOMMODATION FOR GROOMS
One groom per Horse, will be provided by MEX NF. There will be a charge of
$30.00 (meals & Accommodation) per groom/per day to be paid directly to the
COVER or FEM by each NOC.
Any additional days (previous or after) will need to be covered by each NOC/NF
directly with FEM.

Grooms (Jumping & Dressage) Will be accommodated at
P O S A D A X A L L A PA N , 5 m i n u t e s f r o m t h e v e n u e .
At PEROTE Meals will be open for Grooms:
Breakfast 6am - 9am
Lunch 12pm - 3 pm
Dinner 6pm 8:30 pm
At Coapexpan there will be a restaurant service available for grooms.
GROOMS will be given a daily allowance of $40.00/day (breakfast/lunch/dinner)
Chef D’Equipes must inform in writing the arrival and departure dates for each
groom. It is important to note that hotel accommodation in Xalapa/Perote are
limited, so arrangements need to be done with enough time.

17. Certificates of Capability
All NFs must ensure that they send in the certificates of capability signed and stamp
for all combinations (rider/horse) NO LATER than OCTOBER 20th to the
respective departments at the FEI

18. Identification numbers
Identification numbers for horses will be distributed at the arrival of the horse and
must be worn during the whole event at all times when the horse is out of the stables.
Bib numbers for Eventing will be distributed on Chefs d´Equipe Meeting,November
20th , 2014
19. PIROPLASMOSIS POSITIVE HORSES
Horses tested positive for Piroplasmosis WILL BE ALLOWED at both venues according
to the requirements laid down for such horses.
National Federations need to inform AMWAT /Agent and the FEM no later than
November 1st, the number of horses and the discipline in which they will compete.
Special arrangements will be made for these horses and they will be located separately
from the rest.

20. Logos(FEIGR
Art.135)
Only the National Logo is permitted. The Chief Steward is responsible for ensuring
that FEI Regulations relating to Art 135 are respected by Athletes before entering
the Arena. Athletes not complying with Art 135 GR will not be permitted to enter
the arena during competition.
21. Stable
Security
The following security regulations must be obeyed:
a. No accompanying person may enter the stables, unless accredited –
accordance with FEI Rules.
b. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire stable area.
c. Open fires (e.g. camping stoves) are strictly prohibited.
d. Only the actually needed amount of feed supplies may be stored in the
stables.
e. Open space and entry ways between the stables may not be obstructed by
trucks or vans.
f.
All electrical plugs must be three-pronged (110 V) .
g. No one is allowed to stay in the stables overnight due to the local fire
ordinance.
h. Those who disregard the above security regulations will incur a fine
i. Dogs (and all other pets) are strictly prohibited on the entire venues (PEROTE /
COAPEXPAN) , as well as the cross-country course.

22. PRESS
Press conferences interviews and autograph sessions
All Chefs d´Equipe, Athletes, Team Officials and especially medalists and placed
riders must be available for interviews and autograph sessions when requested
by the O C.
The O C reserves the right to make use of all illustrations (photographs, images, videos,
etc.) made on behalf of the OC during the event or on the show grounds for their
commercial purposes, without the explicit consent of the person/athlete illustrated.
23. Kiss & Cry Areas
Each stadium has a so-called “Kiss & Cry” area to which a maximum of 7 persons
pertaining to the relevant Athlete currently in the arena will be allowed.
24. VIP AREAS
VIP area in PEROTE will accommodate 8 people per table. No FOOD OR BEVERAGE INCLUDED and
will run from November 21st to the 23rd at a cost of $4000 MEX PESOS. If there is interest please contact

- VIP seating will be provided for the disciplines of Dressage & Jumping at COAPEXPAN

28.2 ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Officials will be accommodated per discipline.
JUMPING & DRESSAGE - HOTEL XALAPA
EVENTING - Officials will be accommodated in PEROTE.
Officials will receive a daily fee to cover their meals.
Breakfast will be at the respective hotels.
28.3 AIRPORT PICK UP
Officials will be greeted at the airport by the OC
28. 4 ACCREDITATIONS
After pick up at the airport, Officials will be taken to the MUSEO INTERACTIVO DE XALAPA to
get their accreditations and then to their hotels.
28. 5 TRANSPORTATION OF OFFICIALS
The OC will provide transportation to and from the hotels & Venues.
29.TRANSPORTATION OF HORSES FROM PEROTE TO
COAPEXPAN
After the eventing discipline is over, horses will be transported to COAPEXPAN on November 24th
by truck. Expenses covered by each NOC.
Transportation cost is $1200 per truck .Each truck has a capacity of 15 horses, therefore this cost will
be divided by the number of horses trasported.

31. Parking
Parking for riders & Other members of the official delegation will be
available at both COAPEXPAN & PEROTE Venues.
32. STABLE OFFICE HOURS - REQUESTS
At Coapexpan and the stabling office will be opened from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
All requests need to be made to the stable managers by 4:00 pm the day before
33. Veterinary Matters
All veterinary examinations and horse inspections will be carried out according to FEI Veterinary
Regulations and Rules for the competitions.
The 1st veterinary examination takes place after the arrival of the horses at the [venue] and it is
carried out by a veterinarian of the Veterinary Commission to establish the identity of every horse
and verify general health and freedom from infectious diseases.
The horses participating will have to be accepted at their respective horse inspection before the
competitions according to the established schedules.
Any supportive treatments may only be given with the authority of the Veterinary Commission
using the appropriate FEI Forms and can only be given by veterinarians who possess an FEI
Veterinarian Identity Card. A sufficient number of designated treatment boxes will be made
available. All team and treating Veterinarians must present their FEI Veterinarian Identity Card to
the Veterinary Commission and the Veterinary services Manager upon arrival at the event venue.

Equine Anti-Doping Tests will be made to detect the presence of prohibited
substances according to the 2015 FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List.
(These sample collections will be carried out by the Veterinary Service of the
Organizing Committee and the FEI Veterinary Delegate)
At least 10% of the participating horses in each competition, chosen randomly or as directed by
the Veterinary Regulations, will be subjected to tests for prohibited substances. This 10% should
be at least the first four places in the Individual Competition, and in the event of Team Final
Competition, a horse of each team placed in the first four places.
Note the detection of a banned substance currently carries a likely two (2) year athlete
suspension.
The procedures used for the Veterinary Control will follow the effective FEI Veterinary
Regulations. All horses should be accompanied by a valid Official FEI Passport.
Any supportive veterinary treatments may only be given with the authority of the Veterinary
Commission as above and by veterinarians possessing an FEI Veterinarian Identity Card. Horse
EADCMP blood and urine samples will be analysed by

CLEAN SPORT INFORMATION
The current FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List of Banned Substances and Controlled
Medications (the EPSL) is available on the FEI Clean Sport website: www.FEICleanSport.org as
a PDF document, database or smart phone app. Detection times are also provided for a limited
number of Controlled Medication substances where available.
Elective Testing may be carried out, by Competitors for their Horses, prior to an Event to check
for the presence of prohibited substances (please refer to www.FEI.org/veterinary for information
and details Art. 1956)

HUMAN ANTI-DOPING
At a minimum, and pursuant to the ADRHAs, Organisers must provide the following at Events
where human anti-doping testing is scheduled to take place at least 2 months prior to the Event:
1. One (1) staff member able to act as point of contact and coordinator for the Doping Control
Officers (DCOs) with the contact name and details of this staff member to be communicated to
the FEI at least two (2) weeks prior to the starting date of the Event. 2. Human anti-doping
facilities reasonably separated from public activity, consisting of:
- one (1) private room exclusively dedicated for use by the DCOs with one (1) table, two (2)
chairs, pens and paper and one (1) lockable fridge; and
- a waiting room/area with a suitable number of chairs as well as an appropriate amount of
individually sealed, non-caffeinated and non-alcoholic beverages, which includes a mix of natural
mineral water and soft drinks ; and
- one (1) private and clean bathroom/toilet, adjacent or as near as possible to the DCO room and
waiting area.
3. Staff members (or volunteers) of both genders, able to act as Chaperones. The number of
Chaperones available to the OC must be communicated to the FEI as early as possible following
receipt by the OC of the Testing plan for the Event. Please see the qualifications for Chaperones
in the ADRHAs.

FEI CODE OF CONDUCT
Chefs d´Equipe are required to submit the signed copies of the Code of Conduct to
the Secretariat upon arrival.
Code of conduct
The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in
international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI´s Code of Conduct and to
acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be
paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial
influences.

At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses,
welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse
management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation.

Horse and Athletes must be fit, competent and in good health before they are
allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that
threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and misuse of aids.
3
Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful
attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site
safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event.

Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention
after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition
careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia
and retirement.

The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of
education in their area of expertise.

Annex II
Equine Transportation Manual.
This Manual is the guideline that describes the procedures for temporary importation of the
Equines that participates in the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games.
1. Temporary importation of equines.
2.
Equine arrival and release at entry points at the international airport of Mexico City.
3. Temporary importation of equipment and related Goods .
4. Domestic equine transportation from México city international airport to the quarantine
points of the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games.
5.
Export requirements for horses and their equipment to their countries or to a third country.
The only point of entry for horses into Mexico for the XXII Central American & Caribbean
Games is Mexico City International Airport. NF´s must contact and coordinate their horse’s
arrival dates with the Official International Shipping Agent, AMWAT SA De CV/other
agent , by e-mailing or faxing the flight schedule immediately
Confirmation of the flights to be sent at least 8 days before. AMWAT will coordinate with
the Mexican Agriculture Department (SAGARPA) the arrival of horses to Mexico.

All the Equine must have a micro chip in the moment of their arrival. The Mexican Agriculture
Department, “SAGARPA” will verify as a part of the inspection for Importation. In case that you
do not have the microchip, please contact the Official International Shipping Agent, AMWAT SA
de CV, so they can get these shipped to you.
All the Equines must present their FEI Passport.
The horses will leave the airport directly to the quarantine points, approved by the Mexican
Agriculture Department “SAGARPA”. COAPEXPAN & PEROTE.
Horses which decide to arrive previous to the opening if the stables November 11th and decide to
go to another venue, will have to do a 30 day quarantine before entering the official venue for the
XXII Central American & Caribbean Games.
Temporary Importation of Equine.
In Mexico, the Equine Importation requirements were specially developed for the XXII Central
American & Caribbean Games performance horses competing in the three disciplines. These
requirements were mailing to the Agriculture Departments of each country that participates in the
XXII Central American & Caribbean Games 2014 (See the Attachment with the Certificate
form). This Certificate must be sent to the Official International Shipping Agent, AMWAT, as
soon as possible, to check it with the Mexican Agriculture Department “SAGARPA”. This
Certificate must contain the micro chip number of each equine, because when the equines arrive,
the SAGARPA Official Veterinary Commission will verify that the horses have the right number
of micro chip.
The Certificate to Departure of Equines Temporary Imported, that will be signed by the
SAGARPA, must be written according with the horse origin Country Zoosanitary rules, such
requirements must be sent to the Official International Shipping Agent AMWAT .
If the Equines going to export to a third Country, the Certificate will be according with the
requirements, tests and vaccination of that Country.

The Official International Shipping Agent must receive the following:
•
Name of the National Federation.
•
Name of the Country.
•
Name of the City Horse departure.
•
Transportation.
•
Schedule (arrival and departure).
•
Shipping Agent information, appointed by the NF´s or Committee.
In addition to this information, the Official International Shipping Agent must receive a detailed
list including the number of items of each equipment piece. The following items ARE NOT
PERMITTED
1.
Medicines.
2.
Personale Luggage.
3.
Riders, Veterinarian and Groom Equipment (chaps, boots, helmets, etc).
4.
Feed, Supplements, Concentrates, Cereal Grains.
5.
Bedding Materials.
NF´s must present with a minimum of eight days the documents for the importation, (Export Zoo
sanitary Certificate, Invoice and Air plane Receipt) that have to be accepted by the border
authorities and sanitary authorities, to have all the necessary documents, checking and authorised
before the equine arrival.

All the Equines, Equipment and Goods imported by this negotiated protocol, must be exported
once the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games 2014 have finished.
Equine arrival and release at entry point at the international airport of Mexico City.
In the moment of the equine arrival, they must have the original Export Zoo sanitary Certificate
given by the Official Veterinary from the Origin Country, according with the importation sanitary
requirements, and the Invoice and AirWay Bill (AWB).
The OISA´s Official Veterinary will verify that such document is according with the Import Zoo
sanitary requirements and he will check the equine inspection at the entry point. Also he will be
in charge to verify that the microchip number that is in the Certificate, is according with each one
of the equines. After, they go into the assigned vehicles, to be transported to the quarantine
points of the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games.
Temporary Importation of equipment and Goods.
The Equipment and related goods will be released at same time that the equines and if it is
necessary they will be checked by the border authorities, therefore, each trunk must have a
external list, with the detail amount of each item, and must presented without lock or give the
keys to let the authorities inspect them.
Domestic equine transportation from Mexico City International airport to the quarantine points in
the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games.
a. Foreign equines domestic transportation, arrival.
At the Verifying Points and Federal Inspection Points, the importer must present the effective
Sanitary Certificated for Importation for domestic transportation.

b. Domestic Transportation.
The Official International Shipping agent will be in charge to comply with the Domestic
Transportation Sanitary Certificate, the national participants could use the Official Equine
Passport, or the Domestic Transportation Sanitary Certificate with review to and from the Venue.
The Official International Shipping Agent will be in charge to inform immediately to the General
Animal Health Direction “DGSA” about any disease or death of the imported equines, occurred
during the transportation to isolation areas or during the time they stay, to conduct
epidemiological research, so it, AMWAT allow the CPA staff access to the isolation unite, to
verify the equine health. DGSA dictate health measures.
The quarantine areas must be empty, washed and disinfected, all entries must count with sanitary
carpet for the equines as well as the authorised personnel that enter this areas, the driveways also
must count with sanitary carpets, 15 days before the opening. The Venue in COAPEXPAN will
be open from November 11th 2014 to December 2nd 2014. Perote will open November 11th
and closed November 24th, 2014 . If there are eventing horses which need to stay longer,
they will be transported to the COAPEXPAN Venue until their return.
In case of Piroplasmosis-positive horses, the infected equines will be accepted to a special
isolated stables for Piroplasmosis-positive horses in the quarantine areas of the XXII Central
American & Caribbean Games 2014. You must notify the Shipping agent IMMEDIATELY with
no less than 30 days before the importation. The importer must notify to the DIGIF and the
DGSA in advance to the arrival of the equines, to coordinate the specific requirements for
isolation.
Export requirements for equines and their equipment to their countries or to a third country.
The Certificate to Export the equines temporary imported, issued by the SAGARPA, must be
made according to the sanitary requirements of the equines Country of Origin, such requirements
must send at least 5 months before the equines departure date.
SAGARPA issued Export Zoo sanitary Certificates and also the Domestic Zoo sanitary
Certificate to move to the Mexico City International Airport.
If horses do not return to their Country of Origin, they must ask for the Export Zoo sanitary
Certificate and qualify the requirements of a third Country.

The XXII Central American & Caribbean Games OC will NOT pay the cost of Import/
Export expenses of the equines that arrive directly to the C e n t r a l
A m e r i c a n & C a r i b b e a n G a m e s and the transportation from the
authorised airport to the Venues, will be at the charge of each NOC.
Responsibility
Neither the COVER, nor COAPEXPAN,PEROTE, FEM nor AMWAT, accepts
any responsibility for any accident or illness that may befall
any horse, competitor, groom or any other person. The same applies in case of
damage to cars, saddler, utensils and all other objects, including damage resulting
from theft, loss, fire, etc
NF´s are responsible to ensure that each participating horse is insured for a
sufficient amount to cover any eventuality that can occur during or in relation
to the XXII Central American Games 2014, including without limitations,
problems occurring during transportation to and from the Venues.
All owners and Athletes are personally responsible for damages to third parties
caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are
therefore, strongly advised to take out a third party insurance providing full
coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad and to keep
the policy up to date.

Annex III
Feed, Hay and Bedding
Feed, Hay and Bedding supplier for the XXII Central American & Caribbean
Games, 2014 to supply an assortment of hays, cereal grains, concentrate feeds,
supplements and bedding materials which are of superior quality and which are
designed for performance horses competing in the three disciplines represented at
the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games, 2014.
Package Cost : The cost of the all-inclusive package is USD 120 horse/day, to be paid
directly to FEM. Horse days will be calculated from the day that the horse arrives to
the Venue until the day it departs. The following goods are included in the package:
BEDDING: Wood Shavings (Pine) - Boxes will have 10 bags of shavings and each
horse will be able to request 10 additional bags within the daily package.
Additional shavings will be at the cost of each Federation.
HAY
Cereal grains and concentrates
A range of both pellet and textured Concentrates will be available. This feeds will be
formulated to meet the nutriments requirements of horses participating in the three
disciplines in the XXII Central American & Caribbean Games, 2014 from Purina and
Galope Brands.
