St. Brendan the Navigator
The Navigator El Navegante We welcome all to join us in being like Jesus Christ to our world. Damos la bienvenida a todos a unirse a nosotros en ser como Jesucristo a nuestro mundo. Second Sunday of Advent December 9, 2012 Join us for Deacon Bob Grimaldi’s Farewell Reception “A voice of one crying out in the desert: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” Luke 3:6 Please make plans to join us for a farewell reception for our beloved Deacon Bob Grimaldi on Sunday, December 16 after the 9am and 11am Masses. Deacon Bob and his family have been active parishioners since October of 2002. Deacon Bob was ordained in February of 2011 and has touched us with his sincere love of God ever since. Deacon Bob has been involved in several ministries here at St. Brendan’s, especially administering the Eucharist to the sick and elderly. He has presided over many baptisms and spent many hours working with our Youth Faith Formation programs. Deacon Bob and his family have been blessed with a business opportunity for Bob and have relocated to Dawsonville. He has been assigned to continue God’s work at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dahlonega. We will certainly miss him as a deacon, but know that he will continue to be a role model for how we are called to live as Disciples of Christ.
