O
f the 14 beautiful young ladies competing for the title of Miss Playa Blanca,
just two of them are from Panama. The
other 12 Latina beauties have converged
on Panama from as far away as Mexico, Argentina and Cuba. The opportunity to represent the Playa Blanca beach resort and
residential development which now also
houses its own Alta Vita Spa has proven
attractive for many young ladies from Latin
America.
The contestants from abroad expressed having thoroughly enjoyed their
time in Panama. They couldn’t resist the
wonderful beaches, excellent shopping and
cosmopolitan flare of the capital. Participating in the contest also gives them great exposure in the world of modeling in Panama.

por el título de Miss Playa Blanca,
sólo dos de ellas de Panamá. Las otras 12
bellezas latinas vinieron a Panamá desde
lugares tan lejanos como México, Argentina y Cuba. La oportunidad de representar
a Playa Blanca, hotel y desarrollo residencial que ahora también cuenta con su propio Alta Vita Spa resultó ser atractivo para
muchas jóvenes de América Latina.
Las participantes del exterior expresaron disfrutar mucho su estancia en Panamá. No pudieron resistirse a las playas
encantadoras, excelentes compras y el
brillo cosmopolita de la capital. Participar
en el concurso también les da gran exposición en el mundo del modelaje en Panamá.

Miss Playa Blanca will be held in the city on Friday, August 20, at Casa Nikki in
Multiplaza. The traditional beach party atmosphere that surrounds this yearly
celebration will be transferred to the city this year. Electronic music DJs Armand Peña
of Nikki Beach in South Beach and DJ Patrick who headlines at big clubs in Bogota will
be in charge of keeping the good music playing until late. Entrance costs $35. Table

Miss Playa Blanca tendrá lugar en la ciudad el viernes, 20 de agosto en Casa Nikki en
Multiplaza. El ambiente de playa que rodea esta celebración anual se transferirá a la
ciudad este año. Los DJs de música electrónica Armand Peña de Nikki Beach en South
Beach y DJ Patrick quien se presenta en los clubes más grandes de Bogotá, estarán
encargados de amenizar con buena música hasta tarde. La entrada cuesta $35.
