Solemnity of Corpus Christi
The Body and Blood of Christ
May 29, 2016
Solemnity of Corpus Christi - the Body and Blood of Christ
JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY
BEGINNING MAY 31ST
LITURGY SERVICES
In light of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and
Blood of Christ, we turn to the words of Pope Francis in
his message for the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, “The Church
lives within the communion of the saints. In the Eucharist, this
communion, which is a gi' from God, becomes a spiritual union
binding us to the saints and blessed ones whose number is
beyond coun)ng (cf.Rev7:4). Their holiness comes to the aid
of our weakness in a way that enables the Church, with her
maternal prayers and her way of life, to for)fy the weakness of
some with the strength of others.”

Being a companion for individuals exploring the
Catholic Church is a sacred ministry. It’s demanding but
eternally rewarding. We need strong men and women
who are willing to share their faith and experiences with
others. You don’t need to be a theologian to be an RCIA
sponsor! You just need to have a heart for others and
for the Church. God is calling some of our community to
be RCIA sponsors this year. Is he calling you? PRAYER
