• Field Experience: design, establishment, and evaluation of experimental plots. Herbicide efficacy trials, weed
biology and ecology experiments, and assessment of herbicide resistance. Data analysis and elaboration of
articles for publication.
• Laboratory Experience: liquid scintillation spectroscopy, use of radio-labeled (14C) herbicides for efficacy and
metabolism assays. Spectrophotometry and High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), for chemical
analysis and herbicide efficacy trials. Protein chemistry, familiar with enzyme purification and kinetics
protocols, electrophoresis, and blotting. Molecular biology, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), primer
development, cloning, and nucleotide sequences analysis.
