QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE FOR RME EAGLE CONTROLLER DO NOT PRESS THE KEYBOARD WITH SHARP OBJECTS The examples below demonstrate the controller’s basic functions. For a full explanation of all the features and programming capabilities, refer to the RME Eagle User Manual. 1. SET TIME AND DATE --- Set the current time and date. EXAMPLE: 10:35 PM Saturday, November 10, 2001. Press: 6. SETUP START TIMES --- Each Program has five available START TIMES. EXAMPLE: Program 1 has a start time of 7:10 AM and 4:30 PM. START SAT SUN ENTER Press: 7 1 0 TIMES WED The controller’s display will respond with SETTIME for 2 seconds. The controller will then display 12:00AM. Press: SUN 1 TUE 0 THU 3 5 AM PM 4 ENTER When complete, press: TUE AM PM 0 3 ENTER QUIT The controller’s display will respond with SETDATE for 2 seconds. The controller will then display MM DD YY. Press: 2. 1 SUN SUN 1 1 SUN 0 0 7. ENTER 1 PROGRAM --- Select program 1, 2, 3 or 4 for modification. EXAMPLE: Select Program 1. Press: 3. SUN PROGRAM SUN 1 Press: ENTER 8. WATER DAYS SELECTION --- Each program can be set for either a 7 day watering schedule OR on a SKIP DAYS watering schedule, which allows you to skip from 1 to 30 days between watering cycles. For a definition on how to use the SKIP DAYS function, refer to the Eagle User Manual. 9. WATER DAYS MON 2 WED 4 FRI ENTER 6 10. Press: WATER DAYS FRI 6 CLEAR SAT 7 ENTER 11. STATIONS ENTER MANUAL STATIONS FRI 6 ENTER MON 2 THU 5 ENTER MANUAL TUE 3 DO NOT PRESS: ENTER MANUAL STATIONS 0 ENTER THU 5 ENTER ET MODE SELECTION --- Controller automatically adjusts to weather conditions to provide water savings. EXAMPLE: Turn on ET mode for Programs 2 and 4. Press the STATIONS --- Select the stations and the length of the watering cycle. Selected stations are shown in the LED display. EXAMPLE: Program Station 1 to water for 10 minutes and Station 2 to water for 1 hour and 30 minutes, Press: 1 QUIT When complete, press: 5. SUN MANUAL SELECTION OF MASTER VALVE/PUMP --- When selected will run the MV/P for a specified time. The MV/P is assigned station 0 and can be manually selected. EXAMPLE: Run The Master Valve for 5 minutes. Press: Modify WATER DAYS Selection, EXAMPLE: To eliminate Friday and then add Saturday. PROGRAM MANUAL SYSTEM CHECK/SYRINGE CYCLE --- When this function is selected, the controller will turn-on the first station for a selected time of 1 to 9 minutes, then to the next station, until all stations have been checked. EXAMPLE: To run a 3 minute System Check. Press: ENTER QUIT When complete, press: 4. ENTER MANUAL MANUAL STATION --- Runs a station for the length of time selected. EXAMPLE: Run Station 6 for 25 minutes. Press: WATER DAYS --- Select watering days based on a 7 day week. The days selected are shown in the LED display. EXAMPLE: Schedule watering on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week. Press: MANUAL --- Run a program, a station, or the system check/syringe cycle. MANUAL PROGRAM --- Runs the selected program. EXAMPLE: Run program 1. SUN 1 MON 2 When complete, press: ENTER SUN 1 0 ENTER SUN TUE 1 3 QUIT ET Then press: MON 2 ENTER key WED 4 ET – H 21 Display indicates daily Press: ET value (100th of an inch) ET key ENTER When complete, press: QUIT 0 ENTER 1. 2. 3. 4. ADDITIONAL NOTES The controller is in the automatic mode when the controller is cycling between time and date. Steps 3 through 5 may be performed in any order. To program the additional programs (2, 3, and 4), go to step 2. Pressing QUIT will return the controller to the automatic mode. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION INSTRUCTION INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA CONEXIÓN ELÉCTRICA INSTRUCTIONS POUR RACCORDEMENT ELECTRIQUE 1. Remove lower panel. 2. Connect ground-screw to the ground rod or grounded water pipe. 3. Thread condulet onto the transformer. 4. Connect the supply line conduit to condulet. 5. Connect the 120VAC 50/60Hz supply line to the transformer wires within the condulet. 6. This unit is intended to be connected to metallic conduit only. 7. Follow all appropriate local electrical wiring codes. WARNING: 1. All electrical connections must be installed as described above and the box must be properly grounded or warranty will be voided. 2. Disconnect power prior to making electrical connections or doing any servicing of the controller. 1. Remueva el panel inferior. 2. Cet appareil est concu pour étre raccordé uniquement á des conduits de type métallique. 7. Veuillez suivre les codes ď electricité en vigueurs. AVERTISSEMENT: 1.
