El curso “Tomando control de su salud” es un programa dirigido a personas que sufren enfermedades
crónicas. Este tipo de enfermedades produce en los pacientes una serie de consecuencias comunes que
afectan a su estado físico y emocional (fatiga, dolor, ansiedad, depresión, etc). Beneficios del curso
Los resultados del curso "Tomando control de su salud" han sido avalados por numerosas publicaciones
científicas internacionales que muestran los siguientes beneficios en la calidad de vida de los pacientes:
•Mejor manejo de los síntomas de la enfermedad.

FREE Telephone Learning Sessions. It is a practical confidential program that use the telephone to connect family
caregivers with trusted professionals and other caregivers. These sessions last either 1 hr. or 30 min. and are led by
experts facilitators on topics of interest to family caregivers and older adults. Join us in our multi-purpose room or in

A Matter of Balance includes eight two-hour sessions for a small group led by a trained
facilitator. This nationally recognized program was developed to:

Set goals for increasing activity
Make changes to reduce fall risk at home
Exercise to increase strength and balance

una, para personas de 60 años de edad y mayores. Estas sesiones ayudan a los
