In today’s Gospel parable (Matthew 21:28-32), a father asked
two sons to go out into his vineyard to work. The first said “I will
not,” but afterwards changed his mind and went. The second said “Yes,
sir,” but did not go.
Each of us can think about ourselves and ask ourselves what we
would say and what we do. Many of us filled out the Stewardship
Renewal Cards and said we would do certain things. We said "Yes, sir."
But some of us might procrastinate when it comes to the actual going and
doing. Others may be a bit passive aggressive and refuse to fill out the
cards, but they will nevertheless pray, serve and give.

"Do the Father's will."
Regardless, the
important thing is that we eventually "Do the Father's will." Jesus
mentioned the example of St. John the Baptist, who by desert penance
and self-denial, trained himself to renounce his own will.

NEW CHLDREN’S
MINISTRY: CHURCH MICE!
As part of being a welcoming parish,
we need to have hymnals, missals, and
bibles in the pews in an orderly
manner, without a lot of abandoned
bulletins and other papers. Church
mice will be a ministry run by
kids. You will join a team of other kids
who attend the same Mass and will
quietly as a mouse arrange and tidy the
pockets in the pews so that those
coming in for the next Mass are greeted
with everything they need to properly
participate at Mass. This will only
take a few moments, but you will be
part of an important
ministry within our parish
and be offering your gifts of
time and talent to Our Lord in
a way that directly and
positively impacts
participation in the Holy
Mass! Stop by on the Plaza
after Mass today or call the
parish office.
Could you not keep

Annie Johnson
Annie Johnson joined her first choir,
the 9:00am Chant Choir, a er moving
to St. Joseph's parish with her family
about six years ago, and in 2012 she
started to cantor at the TLF Mass. Her
sweet voice, through the beauty of
the Church`s ancient form of music –
Gregorian Chant, li ed our minds and
hearts to God. As St. Augus ne said,
“Those voices flowed into my ears,
truth filtered into my heart, and from
my heart surged waves of devo on.”
Learning Gregorian chant has been
challenging, but singing in the choir
gives Annie great joy, because she is
using her talents for the beau fica on
of the liturgy. For her, life at St.
Joseph's and being a good steward
means loving God by serving at her
parish and using what God's given to
her for His glory.
Annie also loves to draw and paint,
and she has started school this fall at
the University of Dallas, TX, majoring
in art and planning to study sacred art
and music. “On behalf of our Chant
Choir and the a endees of the TLF
Mass at St. Joseph’s,” says Carmen
Skeen, the President of the choir, “we
would like to thank Annie Johnson for
the many years she has supported the
Chant Choir. Annie, your knowledge,
dedica on and beau ful voice has
been so important to all of us who are
commi ed to making this Mass a
spiritual experience for all.” Dear
Annie, you are missed, but we all wish
you the best in this new chapter of
your life!

DEL LAPTOP DEL PÁRROCO, Padre Mark
Pope Francis
El otro pecado «contra el primer
mandamiento del que habla la liturgia
de hoy es la hipocresía», prosiguió el
Santo Padre.
"Do the Father's will."

Leer - Meditar - Orar y Vivir:
LA CONVERSION DE
CORAZON
CORRESPONSABILIDAD
(STEWARDSHIP)
By Svetlana Avetisyan
El centro del mensaje de
la Palabra de este Domingo, es el
arrepentimiento, la conversión de
corazón, arrepentirse para creer, que
consiste ante todo, en no considerarse,
ni justos, ni rectos, ni santos. Tener
consciencia de ser pecadores nos pone
en actitud de conversión. Creernos
justos nos impide encauzar los pasos
por el camino de la conversión. Quien

gregoriano, eleva nuestras mentes y
corazones hacia Dios.
“queremos agradecer a Annie Johnson
