Principle
La Eosina es un marcador acidico que interactua con el citoplasma rico en proteínas en aminoácidos
básicos in basic amino acids to form a complex red-pink brilliant .
The Eosin staining (cytoplasmic staining) in combination with the Hematoxylin (nuclear staining ) is the
most used method in the histopathological routine.
Method
Hematoxylin-eosin (for routine staining)
1) Sections to water
2) Mayer’s hemalum
3) Tap water (or Scott’s water for 1 minutes)
4) Eosin y plus alcoholic solution
5) Ethanol 95%
6) Absolute ethanol
7) Absolute ethanol
8) Clearing agent and mount

Hematoxylin-eosin (for extemporary staining)
1) Harris’ hematoxylin (or Gill 3)
2) Scott’s water
3) Eosin y plus alcoholic solution

NOTE
To make more intense staining is recommended to add a drop of acetic acid in 50 ml of solution of eosin.

Warning and

The product must be used exclusively by specialized technical operators.

precautionary measures during use, the measures first aid and the intervention in the event of accidental

Do not use if the primary container is damaged.
Storage
Store the preparation at 15-30°C. Keep the containers tightly closed.
Stability
After the first opening, the product is usable until the expiry date, if correctly stored. Validity: 2 years.
Disposal
Hazardous preparation: observe all state and local environmental regulations regarding waste disposal.
