Refugees Entering New Enterprises and Workforce

We can help you finish what you started.
Project RENEW (Refugees Entering New Enterprises and Workforce) is a
comprehensive program that provides English for Speakers of Other Languages
(ESOL), continuing education, and vocational/workforce training for eligible
refugees, asylees, Amerasians and victims of human trafficking living in Broward
County.
Since its inception, Project RENEW has served students from many nations,
including Cuba, Haiti, Liberia, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Honduras, Russia,
Ukraine, Burma, Iraq, China, Iran, and others.
Eligibility Requirements
• Asylees of all nationalities
• Refugees of Cuba, Haiti and all nationalities
• Amerasians
• Special immigrants from Iraq and Afghanistan
• Lawful permanent residents who adjusted from
prior refugee, entrant, or asylum status
• 18 years old and older
• Residing in Broward County
• Registered with an employment provider
Training Programs
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
• Vocational, career and continuing education
• Workplace readiness and computer skills
• General Education Diploma (GED) preparation
• Citizenship preparation
Other Services
• Career counseling
• Transportation assistance
• Referral for employment
• Referral for legal assistance
• Referral for childcare assistance
• Assistance with diploma and degree evaluation

Proyecto RENEW (refugiados entrando en nuevas empresas y fuerza laboral) es un

Broward.
