Il 6 aprile 2009, alle ore 3:32, un terremoto di magnitudo Richter 6.3 colpisce
l’Abruzzo e in particolar modo il suo capoluogo, L’Aquila.
Il bilancio è pesante: oltre 150 vittime e 70.000 sfollati; in una manciata di secondi,
crollano nel cuore della notte antichi edifici e costruzioni più recenti.
La stampa nazionale e internazionale dà ampio spazio a questo drammatico
evento, documentando in tempo reale i primi soccorsi, l’organizzazione delle
tendopoli, le analisi tecniche sulle macerie e i piani di ricostruzione.
A pochi mesi di distanza, anche un’autorevole fonte come il New York Times
elogia l’efficienza e la rapidità dei soccorsi e la tempestività delle ricostruzioni.
At 3:32 am on April 6th, 2009,
an earthquake measuring 6.3
on the Richter Scale hit the
Abruzzo Region, and in particular
its capital, L’Aquila. In a fraction
of a second ancient buildings and
new construction alike collapsed in
the heart of the night. The damage
was massive: 150 people lost
their lives and 70,000 were left
without a roof over their heads.
The press, both domestic and
international, informed the world
of the dramatic events in real
time as live cameras transmitted
the rescue efforts, the organisation
of the tent cities, the technical
analysis of the ruins and the
emergence of reconstruction plans.
A few months later even the
New York Times eulogised the
tremendous efficienc , the speed
with which help arrived and the
immediacy of the reconstruction
efforts.

e cioè 926 monolocali, 779 bilocali, 912 trilocali e 499 quadrilocali.
Nelle abitazioni che abbiamo arredato, il numero delle persone
che possono essere ospitate varia da un minimo di 10531 ad un
massimo di 16299.

Our promise: to provide the furniture for 3,116 housing units – 926 studio apartments,
779 one-bedroom units, 912 two-bedroom units and 499 three-bedroom units – to house
from 10,531 to 16,299 newly homeless people..
LA VALEUR DE NOTRE INTERVENTION
Notre engagement : réaliser l’ameublement de 3116 logements, dont 926 studios, 779 deux pièces,
912 trois pièces et 499 quatre pièces. Dans les logements que nous avons meublés, le nombre
de personnes qui peuvent être accueillies va d’un minimum de 10531 à un maximum de 16299.
EL VALOR DE NUESTRA INTERVENCIÓN
Nuestro compromiso: amueblar 3116 viviendas, es decir, 926 apartamentos de una sola
habitación, 779 apartamentos de dos habitaciones, 912 apartamentos de tres habitaciones y
499 apartamentos de cuatro habitaciones. En las habitaciones que amueblamos, el número de las
personas que pueden vivir varía y van, desde un mínimo de 10531, hasta un máximo de 16299.

I prodotti in attesa della consegna sono stati “stoccati” all’interno
dei propri stabilimenti. Tutta la merce è stata consegnata rispettando
quanto richiesto dal Dipartimento di Protezione Civile.

and efficiency required for this sort of commitment, a corporate strategy that has made the Del ongo
factory in Tegoleto (located in Arezzo, Tuscany) the symbol of custom-made ‘just in time’ furniture.
It represents a strategy that keeps its eye on the future of quality production and marketing aimed at
improving the services we can provide to both the domestic and international marketplace.
THE MACHINES OF THE NEW PRODUCTION LINE
The installation of the new line, the only one in Italy, has revolutionised the production cycle. Each
item ordered by the client is now made 100% to order, without using pre-existing serial stock from
our warehouse. This has enabled us to make a significant improvement in the quality of the ‘just in time’
line, a new way of manufacturing which is based on the principle of short delivery times. It is, in essence,
an industrial solution to rapid custom-made service.
MAXIMUM PROJECT CHOICE AND MINIMUM RESPONSE TIME
The new line offers total flexibilit . We can create new models and take orders that can be made with
great speed and be delivered on time.
LA FLEXIBILITE EN TANT QU’INSTRUMENT DE
STRATEGIE COMPETITIVE
Une nouvelle ligne de production particulièrement performante et flexible a permis une réalisation rapide
et efficace ; un choix stratégique ciblé qui a fait de l’usine Del ongo de Tegoleto (dans la province d’Arezzo,
Toscane, Italie) un symbole de l’ameublement personnalisé et du juste-à-temps. Un choix tourné vers le
futur de la production de qualité et de la commercialisation, pour améliorer les services sur les marchés
nationaux et internationaux.
LES MACHINES EMPLOYEES POUR LA PRODUCTION
L’installation de la nouvelle ligne, unique en Italie, a conduit à la transformation du cycle de production :
chaque composant de l’ameublement est produit sur commande de chaque client, sans utilisation de
stocks de série préexistants. Nous avons ainsi réalisé un saut de qualité significatif vers la production
juste-à- temps, une modalité de production fondée sur le principe de la réponse aux commandes dans
des délais très courts : en substance, une réponse industrielle mais sur mesure.
LIBERTE DE CONCEPTION ET RAPIDITE D’APPLICATION MAXIMALES
La nouvelle ligne garantit des niveaux de flexibilité totale. ’insertion de nouveaux modèles et de commandes
sur mesure peut être réalisée très rapidement sans imposer de limites au projet.
LA FLEXIBILIDAD COMO PALANCA ESTRATÉGICA COMPETITIVA
Una nueva línea de producción particularmente performante y flexible consintió la rapidez y la eficacia d
la realización; una precisa elección estratégica que hizo de la fábrica Del Tongo a Tegoleto (en la provincia
de Arezzo, Toscana, Italia), el símbolo de la decoración personalizada y just in time. Una elección que mira
al futuro de la producción de calidad y de la comercialización, para mejorar el servicio hacia los mercados
nacionales e internacionales.
LAS MÁQUINAS USADAS PARA LA PRODUCCIÓN
La instalación de la nueva línea, única en Italia, originó la transformación del ciclo de producción:
la decoración se produce en cada uno de sus componentes después del pedido de cada cliente,
sin tocar las reservas en serie pre-existentes. Dimos de esta manera un importante salto de calidad hacia

Una nuova linea produttiva particolarmente performante e flessibile
ha consentito la rapidità e l’efficienza della realizzazioni; una precisa
scelta strategica che ha reso la fabbrica Del Tongo a Tegoleto
(in provincia di Arezzo, Toscana, Italia), simbolo dell’arredo personalizzato
e just in time. Una scelta che guarda al futuro della produzione di qualità
e della commercializzazione, per migliorare i servizi verso i mercati
nazionali e internazionali.

I macch inari impiegati per la produz ione
L’installazione della nuova linea, unica in Italia, ha portato alla trasformazione
del ciclo produttivo: l’arredo viene prodotto in ogni suo componente su ordine
del singolo cliente, senza attingere a scorte seriali pre-esistenti. Abbiamo così
compiuto un significativo salto di qualità verso la produzione just in time, una
modalità di produzione fondata sul principio della risposta in tempi rapidissimi
agli ordini: in sostanza, una risposta industriale e al tempo stesso su misura.

