But its truth is that we do not know the day or hour when we will be called to our Maker. What we do know we live by faith, trusting that beyond the evidence of what can be seen, God will keep his promise to us. Our ancestors offered the sacrifice of the Passover in obedience to the Lord through which they were freed from slavery, received the blessings of the Law and were given a home. St. Paul reminds us that God’s call extends beyond this. We do not look back to return, but are drawn forward to seek our final resting place in heaven. Jesus, you remind us that faith requires trust. Trust involves the unknown. Let this not cause us consternation and fear, but rather motivate us to eagerly anticipate your return and be ready to serve one another until you call us home. If you are an unbaptized adult or have an unbaptized child over the age of 7 interested in becoming catholic through the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and communion or are from a different denomination and interested in becoming Catholic, please contact Jay Cuasay, Director of Faith Formation at 703-430-0811 ext. 130 or [email protected] CONFIRMATION 2016 CELEBRATION DATE Saturday, October 29th at 10:00 AM Mandatory Rehearsal Date: Friday, October 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the church. More information is on the website: ctrcc.org/confirmation. Jay Cuasay will need your child’s baptismal certificate, Confirmation Name, Sponsor’s Names and Robe Measurements.
