STEWARDSHIP
Fifth Sunday of Lent
“If anyone would serve me,” says Jesus in today’s Gospel, “let him
follow me; where I am, there will my servant be.” In what way is
Jesus inviting me to follow Him? What service is He asking of me?

Fish Fry
All of our Lenten fish fry are now behind us and thank all who participated. We
served between 300 and 400 dinners at each fish fry. This is one of our most
highly labor intensive projects and we thank all Knights, our Women’s Auxiliary,
our other family members and the students from St. Mark and others who participated in them. We look forward to seeing all of you at our fish frys next Lent. As
in all of our events, profits go to the charities we support.
Easter Egg Hunt
We are sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt after the 9 and 10:30 Masses on Sun.,
Apr. 1, for the children of the parish. Please plan to take your children (8 and
under) to the athletic fields behind the Old Gym to participate in the search for
Easter eggs. We have been told to expect a visit from our own Easter Bunny, aka
James Lindell, and his friends after both Masses. Why are we doing this before
Easter? Because we are anticipating the Resurrection and this is a fun reminder
of the glorious things to come!
Business Meeting Postponed
Because our regular monthly business meeting falls on Holy Thursday, we are
rescheduling it for WEDNESDAY, Apr. 11 at 7:30 pm in McGivney Hall. The
meeting was moved to a Wednesday so as not to conflict with the April Prayer
Service which will be held on Thursday, April 12.
Monthly Prayer Service
The K of C and the Ladies Auxiliary are sponsoring a monthly Prayer Service in
the Chapel Thurs., Apr. 12, for all parishioners and their families or friends who
are in need of prayer. This Prayer Service, which is scheduled for the second
Thursday of every month, will begin at 7:00 p.m. All parishioners are invited to
participate.
Information for Joining K of C
For information on joining the Knights, please see our Council website, www.kofc

brochures are available in the Narthex of the Church. Or you can call us at 972498-8885 anytime. This number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is
a recording and we monitor it regularly. If you leave a message, someone from
the Knights will return your call.

Defend Religious Liberty Today!
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recently announced that religious employers will be required to provide health care plans that include coverage of sterilization, contracep‐
tives, and abortifacients. Catholic schools, hospitals, and charities are not exempt from this mandate. This violation of religious liberty is unconscionable and unnecessary. Urge your U.S. Representative to protect religious liberty by co‐sponsoring the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act. To contact your representative, and sign a petition to the White House opposing this mandate, visit the Texas Catholic Conference web site at www.TXcatholic.org/HHSmandate.asp or call the Texas Catholic Conference at 512‐339‐9882. The Texas Catholic Conference is the public policy voice of the Bishops of Texas THANK YOU
A heart-felt "Thank You" to all who supported
or participated in our recent Spring cleaning
and painting project. With your help we
were able to exceed our expectations and
our facilities are much cleaner, brighter and
more welcoming.
