Intelligent software
CBCT systems ensure comprehensive, 360 degree scans
of traditional impressions. Because X-rays pass through
the impression material, every detail registered by the
impression is captured by the scan. This means the scan
detail is not limited by the degree to which the margin
line is visible – perfect for subgingival preparations.
Carestream Dental CBCT systems scan and digitize
impressions in as little as 45 seconds.1 The scan is
converted into a 3D model. The software automatically
brings the scans of both jaws into natural occlusion by
aligning the antagonist.

Carestream’s CBCT systems produce open STL format
files that can be imported into open third-party systems.
As a result, you can use digital impression files to design
and mill restorations in-house with Carestream’s CAD/
CAM restoration systems, and even send data to the lab
when needed.
