Description
A Croatian family owned company, growing apples and plums, is looking for long term partnership with companies engaged in fruit and vegetable
production, trading and processing of fruit. The company is looking for distributors for its products and offering joint venture to potential partners. The
company is growing 11 ha of apples (400-450 tons/year) and 7 ha of plums (predominantly "Stanley") by applying integrated production principles and
procedures, certified as „integrated production“ product, according to EU criteria.
The trees in the orchard are protected by an anti-hail net. An irrigation system is installed in the orchards and an anti-frost system is available. The
company owns additional 10 ha of land and there is an option to plant additional trees and expand production up to 900-1000 tons of apples per year.
The cooperation types that the company is interested in are distribution/export of their products, where the potential partner is a distributor,
importer/wholesaler, supplier of supermarket chains and establishing a joint venture partnership in Croatia. This joint venture partnership would be in
form of a company established in Croatia or renting/buying a premise and investing into an ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen) storage. The plan would be to
export the company's fruit but also fruit bought from other fruit growers and then ship and export the fruit through foreign partners' network in line with
the market demand. In addition the joint venture company may invest into a fruit processing plant, compatible with the ULO storage, in order to add
value to the fruit which can not be sold as a product to be consumed fresh. The most interesting fruit processing options: production of 100% natural
apple juice and production of cider from 100% apple juice.

- Specific area of activity of the partner: The potential partner could be a company engaged in fruit and vegetable production, trading and processing.
The role of the potential partner is distribution and import of fruit but also joint venture is an option in form of establishing a company in Croatia.
