Rosary Altar Society will host a reception for Father Anthony on Sunday, June 26 immediately following the 10:30 Mass. With the warmer weather here, if you sit near a window, please open it and turn the fan on. At the 4:30 Mass, if you could close the window and turn the fan off after Mass that would be a great help. At the 8:15, please open the windows and turn the fans on, and at the 10:30, please help us by turning the fans off and closing any windows. Thank you, your help is very much appreciated. Laurel House Comfort Care Home has been granted non profit status making it a 501c3. This means that all donations are tax deductible. This is a huge step toward Laurel House becoming a reality for our community and beyond. A ustedes, los trabajadores, que no dan de ustedes mismos en el trabajo y que se ponen perezosos. Todas estas situaciones son ejemplos de la muerte aunque la persona sigue respirando. Miren lo que están haciendo para los que están a su alrededor; levántense y hagan lo que puede dar vida, no lo que les quita la vida. No actúen solamente para ustedes mismos. Tengan compasión, muestren el amor, dejen a Cristo tocarles. Ese “levántense” de Cristo es acompañado por los dones de la fuerza y compasión que necesitamos para ello. Tenemos la Eucaristía y creemos en el gran misterio de la resurrección y por estos alimentos podemos levantarnos de estas situaciones de muerte. Aceptemos a Cristo en las vidas. June 2016 May 22,5,, 2016 Tenth Sunday In Ordinary Time The Most Holy Trinity St. Michael Church Newark, New York Dear Parish Family, I am busy planning for the children’s ministries that will begin in September for the 2016/2017 school year. Our parish is always in need of volunteers willing to help in the faith formation program and the Children’s Liturgy of the Word program. If we do not have enough volunteers, we have to combined grade levels in the faith formation program and if we do not have enough leaders for the Children’s Liturgy program, we may not be able to offer the program every week at the 10:30 am mass. If you think you may be interested in helping in any way, please contact me at the parish center for more information. Thank you and have a blessed week. Peace & Love to all, June CONFIRMATION PREPARATION—YEAR ONE BEGINNING 2016/2017 SCHOOL YEAR Classes for year one Confirmation preparation will begin this coming September. If you have a child/children that will be in at least the 8th grade beginning this September, and you would like them to begin the two year preparation process for the celebration of Confirmation, please contact June Sherman at the parish center or by email to get your child’s name on the registration list. FAMILY TIME IN JUNE ~ Plan a treasure hunt to celebrate St. Anthony’s feast day on June 13. ~Make homemade cards for the Dads in your life and give them for Father’s Day on June 19. ~Invite friends over and enjoy fellowship with them during an outdoor get together on the first day of summer on June 20. ~Have prayer time near a fountain or body of water and talk about the gift God has given us in the Sacrament of Baptism. Feast day of St. John the Baptist is June 24. YOUTH NEWS PARISH FAMILY FESTIVAL I NEED YOUth! Help is needed at the festival prize booth for Friday and Saturday, and the face painting booth on Saturday. Please check the signup sheet in the gathering space for slots that still need to be filled. Thank you! SEABREEZE Permission forms & money are due for the Seabreeze trip. Please get them to June by the end of the day TOMMORROW, Monday the 6! Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join in the fun at Seabreeze amusement and water park! The cost per person is $15, $10 toward the cost of the pass and $5 toward the cost of the pizza. We also ask that each youth bring a snack and beverage to share with the group. Registration forms are available in the gathering space, so please fill out and return to June as soon as possible so she can order the tickets. If you have any questions, please call June at the Parish Center. Please note: you must be an active participant in parish life in order to participate in social activities.
