“A mother’s dedication, a young woman’s anguish and the loneliness of old age”
Synopsis
LOST MEMORIES
“Lost Memories” is a journey through the life of a woman, her strength, her love, her plenitude, her
dedication as a mother, the anguish of facing inevitable losses and finally, the loneliness of an old
woman who endures the consequences of a time where she witnesses the loss of the fundamental values of humanity.
“Lost Memories” is a performance dedicated to growing old, the stage of life where one wants to
gather all they have cultivated in their journey through this world, where inadvertently we need our
loved ones to give us back all the love and dedication that we have given them, this stage where
one lives with their memories, memories of “those times”, good and bad, that left their mark and
shaped us as a person.
The audience will witness a moving performance, full of emotions, where they can feel in their own
skin the moments that deeply marked the life of this woman, a woman that could be any of us, with
memories so simple and at the same time so familiar, making the viewer feel like the main character
of the story.

Esther Esteban
Professional Dancer. Madrid 1980.
Esther Esteban is an example of an artist
who found her vocation at an early age.
At age eight she began to take classes
with Carmen Romero, a famous teacher
of Flamenco and Spanish Dance. Her
early start as a dancer together with her
innate qualities prompted her to enroll in
“Real Conservatorio Profesional de
Danza de Madrid” (Royal Professional
Conservatory of Dance in Madrid) and
later to finish her career with honorable
distinction.
She has trained with masters such as:
Manuela Carrasco, Juana Amaya, Adela
Campallo, Carmen “La Talegona”,
Merche Esmeralda, El Güito...
She began her professional path at 17.
El Nuevo Ballet Español (the New Spanish Ballet) directed by Miguel Angel Rojas
and Carlos Rodriquez invited her to form
part of their dance company, participating in the staging and premiere of diverse
performances like: “Flamenco Directo”,
“Sangre Flamenca”, “Furia”, “Tierra”,
“Romeo y Julieta”, “El Alma” o “Sangre”
among others. She also collaborated with them as lead dancer in diverse galas of “Compañías
residentes de Madrid” (Dance Companies of Madrid) and in the Gala of Stars in Miami among
others.
Esther Esteban has danced for numerous dance companies as lead dancer including for
Carmen Cortes in the performance “La Celestina” playing the role of “Melibea” with music from
the prestigious guitarist Gerardo Nuñez, as well as “Mujeres de Lorca”, “Demonios”, in the
production of “1001 Nights” in the leading role, choreographed by Antonio Canales and Rafael
Estévez and Jesús Carmonia´s dance company in the performance “Cuna Negra & Blanca”…
Her zest to continue growing as an artist propelled her to join the “Ballet Nacional de España” (the
Spanish National Ballet) directed by Jose Antonio as a solo dancer and subsequently with the
actual director, Antonio Najarro, playing characteristic roles such as “Ritmos”, “La Leyenda”, “El
café de Chinitas”, “Elegia”, “Dualia”, “Ángeles Caidos” o “Suite Sevilla” among others.
The quality of her dancing combined with the magnetism of her image provoke important implications on the big screen as well:
She travelled to Russia to participate on the shooting of the great film-maker Andrei
Konchalovsky´s, “La casa de los locos” on the theme song from the soundtrack composed and
interpreted by Bryan Adams. She also took part in the filming of the movie, “Salomé” directed by
Carlos Saura.
We must also include a special mention of her solo career:
In 2001she debuted her first performance “El Rocio” in el Teatro de Madrid (Madrid Theater) for the
60th anniversary of Real Conservatoria de Danza (Royal Conservatory of Dance). The classical
guitarist, José Mª Gallardo del Rey summoned Esther to choreograph his performance
“Canciones de una Vida”, for his premiere in La Haya in 2004, with the group “La Maestranza”and
the key participation of singer-songwriter, Paco del Pozo “Lámpara Minera 1997” which was later
performed in Korea and in the Real Academia España (Royal Spanish Academy) in Rome.
In 2012 she left the Ballet Nacional de España (Spanish National Ballet) to form her own dance
company where she is currently preparing her new performance that debuts in 2013.

the same time, she entered the
production
world
with
the
company Eptrom.
Subsequently she returned to her birth city, where she joined the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Sevilla (National School of Drama Seville). In those years Myriam delved deeper into the

The highlight of her work can be found in the performance “La Comunión de las Amapolas”, that
received numerous awards in festivals, in which Myriam Huertas worked as both actress and

In the successive projects of “PorInerciateatro” the company decided to combine contemporary
dance with theater, as a new dramatic language. One of these is the award-winning performance
“Menú”, in which Myriam, while again performing as an actress, also debuts as Assistant Director.
One of her last positions as a Director was in the performance “Expertos en…” by “Porlnerciateatro” (2012),that incorporated dance as a leading component.
