Part of our tradition as a Catholic Community is to remember
our loved ones in our prayer and gathering. Many times, we do
this simple gesture of our prayer in the intentions of our masses,
published each week in our bulletin. If you would like to set a
special intention for a loved one, please contact the Rectory at
least two weeks prior to the date you would like to reserve.

All students who were scheduled to make First Reconciliation, but did not, need to attend the parish Lenten reconciliation
service on Wednesday, March 20th at 7 PM in the church.
Our next Confirmation service outing will be to organize food at Common Pantry on Wednesday, March 13th. For this outing, students need to meet at the rectory at 5:15 PM. There is still room available. If you’d like to attend, please call Daniel

We will begin Altar Server Training for all of our First Communion candidates on Saturday, March 16th. This will be held
immediately after class, and it will go until about 12:15 PM.
The Rite of Enrollment for First Communion will be held on Sunday, March 17th. All First Communion candidates and their
parents/guardians must attend either the 8:45 (English) mass or the 10:30 (Spanish) mass that day.
We will have the retreat for all of our Confirmation Candidates, their sponsors and parents on Tuesday, March 19th at 7 PM in
the school gym. All candidates are expected to be in attendance.
Last year, in July, the youth ministry program of IHM was able to send 13 teenagers and 2 adults to Pittsburgh, PA, for a
week of service work. They went through the organization Catholic Heart Workcamp, and it cost each person about $400 to
go. Some members of our group worked in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and food depositories, while others worked in
the homes of elderly individuals, for impoverish families, and in daycare centers. They were able to go, in large part, because
of a $5000 grant that we received from the Schwab Endowment Fund. This year, because of greater requests and the global
economic situation, we received $3000 from the fund. However, this year, we have even more teens and adults interested in
going to Billings, Montana for another week of service work in July, again through Catholic Heart Workcamp. If you would
like to support their efforts by making a donation towards this trip, it would be greatly appreciated and certainly it would enable our teens to serve some of God’s poor and elderly people. Thank you.

Tendremos el retiro de todos los candidatos de Confirmación, sus padrinos y padres de familia el Martes, 19 de Marzo a las 7
PM en el gimnasio de la escuela. Todos los candidatos se espera que estén presentes.
El año pasado, en Julio, el programa pastoral juvenil de IHM fue capaz de enviar 13 adolescentes y 2 adultos a Pittsburgh, PA,
para una semana de trabajo de servicio. Fue posible gracias a la organización Catholic Heart Workcamp, y el costo por cada
persona fue alrededor de $400 para poder ir. Algunos miembros de nuestro grupo trabajo en comedores populares, refugios

We focus our attention on an educational method to Christianity based on the religious sense present in the heart of
every person, and on the reasonableness of Faith as the recognition of the Presence of the Lord here and now in an
ecclesial companionship.
In the Archdiocese of Chicago, our community organizes weekly moments of catechesis in various locations, based on
the texts of Msgr. Luigi Giussani, the founder of Communion and Liberation.
