The inability of college students to organize thoughts into an academic paper is
widespread and is a cause of concern among higher education institutions. For this
reason, the standardized test-preparation companies have included essay-writing
sections in TOEFL, SAT, GMAT and GRE exams. Since proficiency in essay writing is
generally a good predictor of academic success, many universities will look for those
applicants who score high on essay composition.
This seminar strives to aid the applicant in creating a coherent structure and to ensure a
proper flow in his/her essay which will be reflected in the score he/she receives on the
standardized tests.
