This weekend we are celebrating Deacon Pete Labita’s birthday.
The word “deacon” comes from the Greek word “servant.” This is
precisely what Deacon Pete has been at Christ the King for more
than three decades. And like the Energizer Bunny, he continues
to give his time and talent for the benefit of our community. Be
sure to wish Deacon Pete a Happy Birthday. (I’m not going to tell
you how old he is.)
Este fin de semana estamos celebrando el cumpleaños del Diácono Pete
Labita. La palabra “diácono” viene del griego que significa “servidor”. Eso
es precisamente lo que el Diácono Pete ha estado haciendo en Christ
the King por más de tres décadas. Igual que el Conejo de las pilas

Please pray for our young people who will be receiving their First
Communion in May. Although their First Communion is still
several weeks away, they will be participating in a retreat with their
families this Saturday, March 28. May the Holy Spirit open their
eyes to the beauty and power of the Blessed Sacrament.

silence, and reflection – we are entering into the most holy time of
the year!

Registration for Parish School of Religion (PSR) and the Rite of
Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) has begun. We ask that all first
through eighth graders of the parish who do not attend a Catholic school
participate in PSR. Adults who would like to receive Baptism, First
Communion, and/or Confirmation in the Church are encouraged to join the

All registration forms must be turned in by July 31. No registrations will be
accepted after July 31.

Tony Iacaboni who won the 50/50 raffle and Jerry Jackson who won a
school calendar that evening. Please join us at our next Fish Fry on Friday,

as well as a raffle for an original 16x20 canvas picture of Christ the King
Church. All of the funds we raise go to our Cool the School project.

The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will hold a Women's Silent
Retreat entitled “Marian Receptivity to God.” The retreat will be held at
St. Therese’s Retreat Center. It will begin on Friday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m.
and conclude on Sunday, April 26, at 12:00 p.m. The Retreat Director is
