Living the Paschal Mystery
If we never meet doubt or opposition over values in our
daily living, then we must examine how committed to the
gospel we are. Most of us aren't called “professionally” to
preach the Good News. All of us, however, because of our
baptism, are committed to living it. Living the Gospel is
what must shape our everyday choices and responses. This
means, for example, that if the chatter around the watercooler at work grows uncharitable or coarse, we have the
courage to walk away. Another example: If prejudice exist
among our friends and acquaintances, we have the courage
to extol the dignity of the minority. Dying to oneself means
that we place Gospel values before any others and are willing to stake our lives on them. We might not always concretely experience God’s protection and deliverance in the
given moment; but we know from Jesus’ life that God is
there when it really counts—leading us to Life everlasting.
Viviendo el Misterio Pascual
Si no conocemos a dudas u oposición sobre los valores en nuestra
vida diaria, entonces debemos examinar el grado de compromiso
con el evangelio que somos. La mayoría de nosotros no somos
llamados "profesionalmente" a predicar la Buena Nueva. Todos
nosotros, sin embargo, a causa de nuestro bautismo, nos hemos
comprometido a vivirla. Vivir el Evangelio es lo que debe dar forma a nuestras decisiones y las respuestas de todos los días. Esto
significa, por ejemplo, que si la charla alrededor del refrigerador de
agua en el trabajo crece poco caritativa u ordinario, tenemos el
valor para alejarnos. Otro ejemplo: si existe perjuicio entre nuestros amigos y conocidos, tenemos el valor para ensalzar la dignidad de la minoría. Morir a uno mismo significa que ponemos los
valores del Evangelio antes que a otros y estamos dispuestos a jugarse la vida en ellos. Puede que no siempre se concreta experimentar protección y liberación de Dios en el momento dado; pero
sabemos de la vida de Jesús de que Dios está ahí cuando realmente
cuenta, llevándonos a la vida eterna.

Together in Mission
Special Collection; “Though we are many, we are
one….”
Our Holy Father Pope Francis has enlivened the Church to
renew our spirit of evangelization. Through their ministries and education support by funds provided by Together
in Mission, recipients parishes and schools are doing just
that, reaching out to their communities and making the
message of God's love known to those around them!
The funds we collect will directly benefit more than
250,000 of our Catholic brethren, and ensure our parishes
and schools remain centers of faith and hope for their surrounding communities. For those that have generously
given to Together in Mission in the past you will be receiving a letter inviting you to again participate in this
year’s appeal. We prayerfully ask you renew your generous support. And may God bless you for your commitment!
Each one of us is called upon to share the gifts that God
has blessed us with. In answering the call we keep His
message of faith and love alive to those who most need it.
Every gift, regardless of the size, matters. What is important is that we come together to make sure our Catholic

To give in person, fill out the pledge form inside of the
Together in Mission brochure and return during the collection at any mass.
Daily Mass
It would be edifying to see every family coming to daily Mass at
least once a week besides Saturday evening or Sunday. Please
encourage our young people to come to daily Mass and if you are
not working give a good example by coming with them. We all
need so much spiritual help these days. What a great way to start
off the day by participating in daily Mass and receiving Christ in
Holy Communion. Daily Mass lasts approximately ½ hour.

Misa Diaria
Seria edificante ver a cada familia venir a la Misa diaria a menos una vez
por semana aparte del sábado en la tarde o el domingo. Por favor animen a
nuestra juventud a venir a Misa daría y si no esta trabajando de un buen
ejemplo y venga con ellos. En estos día participando en la Misa diaria y
recibiendo la Santa Comunión. La Misa Diaria dura aproximadamente ½
hora.

Nuestro Santo Padre Francisco ha animado a la Iglesia a renovar nuestro espíritu de evangelización. A través de sus ministerios y la educación con el apoyo de fondos proporcionados

están haciendo justamente eso, llegar a sus comunidades y
hacer que el mensaje del amor de Dios sea conocido a los que

En el comienzo del libro de Jeremías vemos que Dios lo llamo a ser un
profeta, pero aun mas importante es ver como Dios le promete fortificarlo y apoyarlo en su ministerio. En el Evangelio también Jesús habla con
confianza, y aun con impetuosidad, en su tierra natal; mas por la gracia
de Dios, puede escapar de la ira de ellos. Al escuchar hoy estas palabras
de Dios dejemos que ellas nos den la valentía que necesitamos para ser
testigos vivientes del Evangelio.
