What is the August Primary Election about?
The Primary Election decides which candidates will represent each
political party in the November General Election. In September,
watch for an updated edition of this Voter Guide for the General
Election.
Is the 2016 Voter Guide Democratic or Republican?
Neither. It is factual, impartial, and nonpartisan. Every candidate in
the covered races was treated equally and had the same opportunity
to respond to the questions.
Who paid for the 2016 Voter Guide?
Concerned Arizonans dedicated to responsible citizenship have
donated to make this publication available. No candidate or political
party paid for any part of this Guide.
Are you endorsing specific candidates?
No. This Guide is a nonpartisan educational resource provided as a
public service. No candidates are endorsed.
Why do some candidates not respond?
We don’t know. All candidates were provided the same opportunity
to respond to the survey questions. For candidates who declined to
respond, we’ve provided the candidate’s contact information made
available by the Arizona Secretary of State and other public sources.
We’ve also provided limited biographical information on these
candidates at azvoterguide.com. For select races, you can view
positions based on public statements and other credible sources
for candidates who declined to respond to the survey.

9.Adding “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” or “gender
expression” to the protected classes of race, religion, age,
sex, and ancestry in nondiscrimination law.
10.The 2015 Iran Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action,
commonly known as the Iran Nuclear Agreement.
