e internacional y el colectivo LGTB
no es ajeno a este fenómeno.
Como ciudad abierta y cosmopolita,
la oferta de ocio, cultura y diversión es ya
una cita imprescindible para todo aquel que
quiera disfrutar de la tolerancia y libertad
que ofrece a sus visitantes. Desde los inicios
del movimiento, a los EUROGAMES
o el PRIDE, Barcelona ha sabido recoger
el espíritu de una capital europea, moderna
y tolerante con todos. Bienvenidos a la
diversidad, bienvenidos a Barcelona.
In recent years, Barcelona has become a
major destination for tourists from Spain
and around the world and the LGTB
community is a key player in this
phenomenon. Barcelona is an open and
cosmopolitan city and its varied mix of
leisure and cultural attractions, together
with its entertainment offerings, are a must
for anyone wishing to enjoy the tolerance
and freedom it provides for its visitors.

movement to the EUROGAMES and

spirit of a modern European capital that is

Más allá de la oferta de ocio nocturno, la ciudad ofrece un sinfín de
oportunidades para que sus visitantes puedan disfrutar de su estancia

In addition to its vibrant nightlife, the city provides endless
opportunities so that its visitors can enjoy their stay in a quality
setting which is characterised by tolerance and respect.
La cultura, la arquitectura, el shopping, la gastronomía y la vida
nocturna, conforman una oferta que atrae al colectivo LGTB. El barrio
de Gràcia, de larga tradición reivindicativa y pionero en locales gays
es un buen ejemplo de ello. El Eixample, y más concretamente la zona
del “gayxample” con la mayor oferta de locales de ocio, moda
y diversión para el ambiente es hoy una cita obligada, mientras que
el Raval apuesta por la diversidad y cuenta con la Filmoteca de
Catalunya, una de las sedes del festival de cine gay. El Born por el
contrario es el centro de la moda más atrevida, sus tiendas de diseño
y tendencias, y sus bares musicales y restaurantes reúnen a muchos
visitantes, especialmente coincidiendo con ferias de moda urbana
como The Brandery.
Culture, architecture, shopping, gastronomy and nightlife provide
an attractive mix for the LGTB community. The district of Gracia,
a long-time champion of gay rights which pioneered gay bars and
clubs in the city, is an excellent example. The Eixample, and the area
known as the “gayxample”, which is home to many of the city’s gay
bars, restaurants and fashion outlets is a must for visitors, while the
Catalunya, which is one of the venues for Barcelona’s Gay Film
Festival. El Born is the centre for cutting-edge fashion and its design
shops and trendy boutiques, bars and restaurants attract numerous
visitors, particularly when urban fashion fairs, such as The Brandery,
are in town.
La música es uno de los puntos fuertes de la escena cultural: el Gran
Teatre del Liceu, el Palau de la Música Catalana y L’Auditori ofrecen
una magnífica programación de música clásica y ópera, oferta que
coexiste con la vanguardia musical expresada en festivales como el
Sónar o el Primavera Sound. Dentro de la amplia oferta museística
sobresalen el Museu Picasso, la Fundació Joan Miró, el Museu
Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, y el MACBA, todo un referente en arte
contemporáneo. Y como ciudad abierta al mar, Barcelona cuenta con
playas muy populares en el ambiente, como la playa de la Mar Bella
en el barrio de Poble Nou.
