Beginning June 11 through June 14 this summer, SHINE Catholic Work Camp (SCWC) is going to be located in our community.
SHINE is an acronym which stands for “Serving Him In the Needy and Elderly.” This is a project of youth service and they are seeking people in our parish who would like work done in their homes. The volunteers are high school students and adults who are able to
help with interior/exterior painting, yard work, basic home repair or other types of home concerns which are in their scope. They will
have basic tools and supplies but those who would like to have work done in their home needs to provide necessary materials, i.e. paint,
brushes, ladders, wood….If you have needs and concerns in your home and would like some assistance during these days, please contact
Fr. Jim Heneghan at 773-478-1157, ext. 27 for further information. This is a great opportunity to open your heart to others who also are
opening their hearts to serve. If you have any questions, please contact me
