receive 10% of what CTR parishioners pay. We regularly
donate this income to LINK, S.O.M.E. and the Women's Shelter

SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
Engaged couples must make arrangements at least six months prior
to the date of marriage. All are required to participate in a
marriage preparation program. Please call the office to make an
appointment.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Baptism is ordinarily celebrated within a faith community. Please
call the office to register for a preparation class and to arrange for a
time for the celebration.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the
Guadalupe Chapel.
OFFERTORY GIFT BEARERS
What an honor it is to carry the wine, hosts and offerings to the
priest at Mass for consecration. Families and couples are invited to
sign up to bring the gifts at the Mass that they designate as their
preference. If you are interested, please contact Cristina in the

AVAILABLE SERVICES FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED
A sign language interpreter is available on the
2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at the 5:30 p.m. Mass.
Along with the Masses, our parish has induction loop
and receiver systems for the hard of hearing. The
devices are located in the Usher Room.
SENIOR GROUP
The CTR Senior Group meets Fridays at 11:30 a.m. in the Library
for “Bring Your Lunch” meetings or at a local restaurant on the
second Friday of the month. Parishioners 55+ are invited to join.

MISAS DOMINICALES
Nuestra Parroquia de Cristo Redentor celebra dos misas
Dominicales: la primera misa Dominical es celebranda todos
los sábados a las 7:00 p.m. y la segunda misa Dominical a las
12:00 del mediodía del día Domingo. La misa es una
celebración comunitaria; por lo tanto participan miembros de
los distintos grupos y movimientos de la comunidad católica,
por tal motivo tratamos de no particularizarla con gestos que
son propios de cada grupo o movimiento eclesial.
SACRAMENTO DE UNCIÓN DE LOS ENFERMOS
Por favor llamar a la Oficina Parroquial para solicitar la
suministración de los Sacramentos de Confesión o Unción de
Enfermos, ya sea en la casa u hospital.
MISAS MEMORIALES
La santa misa se puede celebrar en caso de muerte. Para
arreglar una misa funeral pueden llamar a la oficina

2015 BISHOP’S LENTEN APPEAL
Stewards of Christ Sharing Gospel Joy!
The Diocese of Arlington is a vibrant diocese and we have
been truly blessed. Yet, with this blessing comes increased
spiritual and pastoral needs and an even greater obligation to
help the many people in our midst who require our assistance
and support. We are asking all families in our parish to support
the Bishop’s Lenten Appeal (BLA) to the fullest extent that
they are able. Thank you for helping us share the Joy of the
Gospel through your support! To date, we have reached 83%
of our goal of $159,000.00. Parishioners have pledged over
$132,000.00 to the Appeal.

Christians are Networking (CAN), a ministry sponsored by
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, assists people
who are unemployed or under-employed. This is also a
tremendous resource for recent college graduates who are new
to the job market. CAN provides free career counseling, skills

interviews and networking opportunities. CAN is offered at St.

ADDITIONAL SPANISH MASS BEGINNING 5/3/15
Through the years, our Spanish Speaking Community has
continued to grow in the Sterling Area. To help serve our
parishioners more comfortably, we are happy to announce
that beginning May 3, 2015, we will adding a Sunday
afternoon Spanish Mass at 3:00PM.
NEXT SOCIAL JUSTICE MEETING
CTR’s Social Justice Committee will meet Wednesday, April
15th at 7:00 p.m. in the library. At this meeting activities will
be planned for next year. Anyone interested is encouraged to

These are the words of comfort that the Risen Lord brings to
his first disciples huddled in the upper room, immobile in the
face of his dying and fearful that the same fate would befall
them.
“Peace be with you,” says the Lord, “As the Father has sent
me, so I send you…” And when they came to believe, the Holy
Spirit descended upon them and they were no longer afraid to
share the Good News, even if they were to share the same fate
as the Lord. For they had come to understand what dying and
rising to follow the Lord meant.
Consider the lives of our newest members in our Church family
today. We are one with them in Baptism, dying to sin and
rising to new life. We too have been sent to be Christ’s
presence in the world today. As Jesus is Lord, let us take on
anew this Good News of peace and freedom from sin by
actively loving God and loving our neighbor.
