¿Cómo surge la iniciativa de crear una cerveza
en Menorca? Con una cerveza de por medio. Buscábamos una aventura empresarial que aportara
algo nuevo al mercado y a nosotros mismos.
¿Y cómo responde el mercado? Muy bien. En Menorca hemos llegado a nuestro techo; en el resto de
Baleares aún tenemos mucho margen para crecer; y
en Cataluña la demanda es constante todo el año.
¿Qué recomienda para tomarse una Illa? Encontrar un momento de calma, mejor en compañía;
y como es una pilsen rubia muy suave pero con
una graduación alcohólica algo elevada lo mejor es
tomarla con queso, un poco de pan, sobrasada…

How did you get into brewing a beer on Minorca? With a beer in my hand. We were looking
for a business venture that would bring something
new to the market and to our lives.
And how is the market responding? Very well. We
have reached our ceiling on Minorca; in the rest of
the Balearics we still have a lot of room to grow;
and in Catalonia there is year-round demand.
What do you recommend for enjoying an Illa?
Find a moment of calm, better if in good company; and since it is a very smooth Pilsner lager
but with a kick, it’s best to drink it with cheese, a
little bread, sobrasada…
