for the newsletter. During the month of June, July and August
the Hispanic Ministry Bulletin will be receiving entries. From
that, three names will be selected and posted in the September issue, so readers can vote for their favorite one. If yours
is the selected one, you will receive “La Biblia Catolica de la

El retiro numero 42 del Movimiento de Retiros Parroquiales
Juan XXIII de Savannah, Ga.; se realizo del 26 al 28 de Abril
en Roberta, Ga. Al retiro asistieron 47 hombres, entre ellos
el Diacono Rey Morales. Los participantes provenían de 11
parroquias de la Diocesis. A raíz de esta experiencia, ellos
lograron dar un cambio de vida a servicio de Dios y la mayoría de los asistentes se han integrado a servir en sus parroquias.
Retreat number 42, from the Movement John XXIII Parish
Retreat (Movimiento de Retiros Parroquiales Juan XXIII)
from Savannah, Ga., took place April 26 – 28. This retreat
was held in Roberta, Ga. This retreat was attended by 47
men, including Deacon Rey Morales. Participants who attended came from 11 different parishes. After this experience, most of these people have been integrated to serve
their parishes, giving them a change of life to which they
were accustomed and being in service to God.

Cursillo: On June 22, 2013 beginning at 9:30 AM at Sacred
Heart Church in Vidalia, there will be a formation for the
next Spanish language Cursillos in the Diocese of Savannah.

Dos seminaristas de nuestra Diocesis estan ahora en Guatemala, aprendiendo espanol en la Escuela de Idiomas y Seminario San Jose en
Quezaltenango. En la foto pueden ver a
Vernon Knight y Anthony Visintainer
durante la orientacion ofrecida en el
Centro pastoral antes de su viaje. Cuando les preguntamos por que querían
aprender espanol, ellos respondieron
que querían hacerlo para así poderse
comunicar y servir de una mejor manera a la comunidad Hispana. Así que la
proxima vez que los vean, no se les olvide saludarlos en espanol.

learning Spanish at the Language
School of the San Jose Seminary in
Quezaltenango. In the picture you
can see Vernon Knight and Anthony
Visintainer during an orientation at
the Pastoral Center before their trip.
When we asked them why they
wanted to learn Spanish, they said
that they wanted to do it so they
would be able to communicate and
better serve the Hispanic community.
So, the next time you see them, make
sure to say “Hola” to them.

El 18 de mayo, 17 líderes de la comunidad Hispana de la iglesia San. Jose en Augusta, Ga., participaron en el taller de líderes organizado por la parroquia ay la oficina del Ministerio

workshop for leaders organized by the parish and the Hispanic Ministry office. Below, you can see a picture with some

todas las personas en necesidad. Ofrece una amplia asistencia basada en casos individuales. Provee ayuda como: asistencia Financiera por desconexion y/o desalojo, panales,
