Estimado estudiante,
Bienvenido a Lacunza IH y a San Sebastián. Estamos felices
de tenerte aquí con nosotros este año.
Nos gustaría que pudieras tomar ventaja de todo lo que la
escuela y la ciudad tienen para ofrecerte. Es por ello que
te recomendamos la lectura de este manual del alumno.

Dear student,
Welcome to Lacunza International House (IH) and to
San Sebastian. We’re happy to have you here with us this year.
So that you can take advantage of everything that the school
and city has to offer, we recommend that you read this student
manual. It has useful information and helpful tips as well as
some great recommendations. Also check out our Facebook

Con más de 156 escuelas en 52 países, International House es

Nuestros profesores están altamente cualificados y
especializados en la enseñanza del español como lengua
extranjera. Todos ellos, han realizado el Curso de Formación
de Docentes en Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE) a cargo
de International House. Trabajan en equipo (2 profesores
por clase) y son apoyados por nuestro Director de Estudios
y Formador de Profesores. Utilizamos la metodología
International House que es muy práctica y exige el uso
constante del español en el aula.

Además de la enseñanza del español, también hay varias
escuelas Lacunza IH repartidos por toda la ciudad, donde
la gente puede aprender inglés, francés, chino o vasco. Esto
significa que es fácil que conozcas a hablantes nativos de

Nuestras instalaciones están situadas junto al Parque de
Cristina Enea - el parque más grande de la ciudad - y se
encuentran a 5 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad y a 10
minutos a pie de la playa de surf “Zurriola” que está ubicada
en Gros. Las instalaciones están específicamente construidas
para una escuela de idiomas y el vecindario local cuenta con
numerosas cafeterías, locales de música en directo y bancos.

We are accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and have been
so for the past 12 years. Additionally we were one of the first
10 accredited centers in the world. For American university
students we also offer Spanish courses that allow you to earn
university credits (some conditions apply). Please visit:

Our teachers are highly qualified and specialized in teaching
Spanish as a foreign language. All of our teachers have
done the Teacher Training Course for Spanish as a Foreign
Language (ELE) run by International House. They work as a
team (2 teachers per class) and are supported by our Director
of Studies and Teacher Trainer. We use the International House
methodology which is very practical and demands constant
use of Spanish in the classroom.

As well as teaching Spanish, there are also various Lacunza
IH schools dotted around the city where the locals can learn
English, French, Chinese or Basque. These means that it’s easy
for you to meet native Spanish speakers who are keen to do a
language exchange.
• Where are we?
Our premises are located next to Cristina Enea Park – the
largest park in the city – and are a 5 minute walk to the city
center or a 10 minute walk to the surf beach “Zurriola” located
in Gros. The premises are specifically built for a language
school and the local neighborhood features a number of cafes,
live music venues and banks.

Ignacio coordina los equipos docentes y se asegura de que
estés en el grupo adecuado acorde a tu nivel de español. Si
tienes alguna inquietud o algún problema en tu clase por favor
habla con tu profesor de primera. Si no estás satisfecho con
la solución, puedes concertar una citar en Recepción 1 para
hablar con Ignacio.
Profesores:
Tendrás diferentes profesores durante tu estancia aquí, ya que
por lo general tienen un ciclo de enseñanza de 2 semanas.
Esto asegura ¡que obtengas una amplia selección de estilos de
enseñanza! Tus profesores pueden ser Yolanda Blázquez, Rosa
Bocos, Dady Calero, Esther Pérez, Iván Vizcaíno, Laura Urkizu y
otros. Si necesitas hablar con uno de tus profesores por favor,
házlo después de clase o en la “Sala de Profesores”, ubicado
justo detrás de la recepción 1.
El primer día de clase, recibirás un folleto (español e inglés)
que dice cuándo y dónde reunirse para tu curso de surf. Por
favor, si tienes dudas ve a Recepción 2 para hablar con Nina
después de clase (después de las 13:00h).

Ignacio coordinates the teaching teams and ensures that
you’re in the right group for your Spanish level. If you are
struggling or having a problem in your class PLEASE talk to
your teacher first. If you’re not happy with the solution make
an appointment to see Ignacio at Reception 1.
Teachers:
You’ll be taught by a variety of teachers during your
time here as we generally have a 2-week teaching cycle.
This ensures that you get a diverse selection of teaching
styles! Your teachers may include Yolanda Blázquez, Rosa
Bocos, Dady Calero, Esther Pérez, Iván Vizcaíno, Laura
Urkizu and others. If you need to speak to one of your
teachers please do so after class or you can find them in

transfers. Please ask at Reception 2 to talk to her after your

On the first Monday of your course, you’ll receive a booklet (in
Spanish & English) outlining when and where to meet for your
surf course. Please ask at Reception 2 to talk to Nina after your

Si tus padres quieren enviarte algo, por favor, que lo envíen a
la escuela con tu NOMBRE y APELLIDOS claramente escritos.

que puedas recogerlo.
IMPRESIÓN, FOTOCOPIAS y SCANS
Puedes fotocopiar, escanear o imprimir documentos en la
escuela. El precio es de 0,10 € por página. Para imprimir algo, por

BIBLIOTECA
Puede contratar dvds, vídeos y libros de la biblioteca. Hay una
amplia gama y algo para cada nivel de español. Deberás dejar
un depósito de 20 € que se devolverá a la entrega del artículo.

MULTIMEDIA HABITACION
Si quieres ver una película con los amigos, puedes utilizar
nuestra sala multimedia. Es casi como estar en el cine, pero
mucho más barato. Pregunta en recepción 1 de lunes a viernes
11,00 a 11,30 y 13,00 a 13,30.
TUTORIALES GRATIS
Todos los martes ofrecemos tutoriales gratuitos para los
estudiantes que desean un tiempo extra de manera individual con
un profesor. Inscríbete en la biblioteca antes del lunes a las 13.00h.
FORMULARIOS OFICIALES
Si necesitas hacer una queja grave por favor solicita una hoja
del “libro de Reclamaciones”. Antes de realizar la queja, te
invitamos a que hables y plantees tus inquietudes con nuestro
personal de recepción o tu profesor, para tratar de resolver el
problema lo antes posible.

the school with your NAME & SURNAME clearly marked. We’ll
write your name on the whiteboard in Reception 1 so that you

PRINTING, PHOTOCOPIES & SCANS
You can photocopy, scan or print a document here at the
school. It is 0.10€ per page. To print something, please send it
as an attachment to: [email protected]
LIBRARY
You can hire dvds, videos and books from the library. There is
an extensive range and something for every Spanish level. You
must leave a 20€ deposit which is refunded on return of the
item. Ask in Reception 1 from Monday to Friday 11.00 to 11.30
& 13.00 to 13.30.
MULTIMEDIA ROOM
If you want to watch a movie with friends, you can use our
Multimedia Room. It’s almost like being at the cinema but
MUCH cheaper. Ask in Reception 1 from Monday to Friday
from 11.00 to 11.30 & 13.00 to 13.30.
FREE TUTORIALS
Every Tuesday we offer free tutorials for students who want
extra one-on-one time with a teacher. Sign up in the library
before Monday 13.00.
OFFICIAL REQUEST FORMS
If you need to make a serious complaint please ask for a “libro
de reclamaciones”. Always raise your concerns with our reception
staff or your teacher first before making an official complaint so
they can attempt to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Clases
• ¿Cómo es mi primer día?
En tu primer día en Lacunza IH necesitas llegar puntual, a las
8.30 am, para hacer una primera evaluación de tu nivel de
español con una prueba escrita y oral. Esto nos permite poder
colocarte en la clase apropiada. También conocerás a nuestro
monitor de Actividades y recibirás un paquete de bienvenida.
Durante nuestra presentación del lunes conocerás acerca de
lo que puedes esperar durante tu estancia con nosotros.
• ¿Cómo son mis clases?
Nuestras clases tienen un máximo de 10 a 12 estudiantes que
facilita una estrecha relación entre tus compañeros de clase y
tú, así como garantizar la atención del profesor personalizado.
Tendrás dos profesores por día y vas a trabajar en la
gramática para el uso diario, la pronunciación, ejercicios
de comprensión oral, lectura y escritura. Las actividades de
clase se hacen individualmente, en parejas o en grupos y se
les enseña al 100% en español. Cada clase es de 45 minutos
de duración y tendrás cuatro clases por día.

• Certificado de Finalización del Curso
Al final de tu estancia en Lacunza IH, obtendrás un certificado
de aprobación del curso, que establece el número de clases a
las que has asistido y tu nivel de español final de acuerdo con
el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas.
• DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua
Extranjera)
El DELE es un certificado reconocido internacionalmente
de español que está organizado por el Instituto Cervantes.
Ofrecemos un curso de preparación para el examen y como
somos un centro oficial de examen DELE, puedes hacer el
examen en la escuela. Si estás estudiando aquí con nosotros
durante más de 3 meses, nos gusta recomendar hacer el
examen DELE. Si estás interesado en realizar el examen DELE,
por favor pide una cita para hablar con nuestro Director.

Classes
• What is my first day like?
On your first day at Lacunza IH you need to arrive promptly
at 8.30am to do an initial assessment of your Spanish level
with a written and oral test. This allows us to place you in the
appropriate class. You’ll also meet our Activities Monitor and
receive a Welcome Pack. During our Monday presentation you
learn about what to expect during your stay with us.
• What are my classes like?
Our classes have a maximum of 10 to 12 students which
facilitates a close relationship between you and your
classmates as well as ensuring personalized teacher attention.
You’ll have two teachers per day and will work on grammar
for everyday use, pronunciation, listening exercises, reading
and writing. Class activities are done individually, in pairs or
in groups and are taught 100% in Spanish. Each class is 45
minutes long and you’ll have four classes per day.

• Course Completion Certificate
At the end of your stay at Lacunza IH, you’ll get a Course
Completion Certificate which states the number of lessons
you attended and your final Spanish level according to
the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
• DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua
Extranjera)
The DELE is an internationally recognized certificate of
Spanish that is organized by the Instituto Cervantes. We
offer an exam preparation course and as we are an official
DELE exam center, you can do the exam at the school. If
you are studying here with us for more than 3 months, we’d
recommend taking advantage of doing the DELE exam. If
you are interested in taking the DELE exam, please make an
appointment to speak with our Director of Studies.

Actividades
También puedes inscribirte en cualquiera de nuestros cursos de
actividades que incluirán:
• SURF
Clase de surf 1 hora diaria, con un máximo de 6 alumnos por
instructor. Se os proporcionará una tabla de surf, traje de
neopreno, el seguro (y una ducha caliente en invierno).
• COCINAR
(BASQUE CULINARY CENTER)
Organizado por el Basque Culinary Center y dirigida por chefs
profesionales. Todos los alimentos, equipos, recetas y delantal
están incluidos. No disponible en agosto.
• COCINAR
(MINI)
Dirigido por una de nuestras familias de acogida y de confianza que
tiene lugar en la casa de la familia. Al final de la clase, disfrutará de
una cena con sus compañeros y el profesor.
• COCINAR
(SOCIEDAD)
Obtener una muestra de la cocina local con un curso práctico en
una de las sociedades gastronómicas locales. Al final de la clase,
se cenará con el resto de sus compañeros de clase.
• KAYAK
Se da en La Concha y está dirigido por un instructor cualificado, que
tiene lugar los martes y jueves por la tarde. Incluye todo el equipo y el
acceso a los servicios del club (alquiler casillero = 2 €).
• FÚTBOL
El curso se lleva a cabo más de 2 tardes, en unas modernas
instalaciones del Mundial de Fútbol. Éstas están a sólo un corto
paseo de la escuela. El curso termina con un partido amistoso.

You can also sign up for any of our Activity Courses including:
• SURF
1 hour surf class daily with a maximum of 6 students per
instructor. Surfboard, wetsuit, insurance (and a hot shower in
the winter) are provided.
• COOKING
(BASQUE CULINARY CENTER)
Organized with the Basque Culinary Center and run by
professional chefs. All food, equipment, recipes and apron are
included. Not available in August.

Run by one of our trusted host families and held in the family’s
home. At the end of the class, you enjoy dinner with your
classmates and the teacher.

Get a taste of the local cuisine with a hands-on course in one
of the local gastronomic societies. At the end of the class, you
eat dinner with the rest of your classmates.
• KAYAK
Held in La Concha Bay and run by a qualified instructor, it
takes place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Includes all
equipment and access to the Club’s amenities (locker hire = 2€).
• FOOTBALL
The course takes place over 2 afternoons in Soccer World’s
modern facilities which are only a short walk from the school.
The course culminates in a scrimmage (friendly match).

La temperatura media en invierno es de 8ºC / 46ºF. Los
estudiantes deben traer ropa de abrigo y un paraguas. En otoño
y primavera la temperatura media oscila entre 12ºC / 53ºF a
16ºC / 60ºF y vistiendo un jersey ligero se recomienda por la
noche. El verano tiene una temperatura promedio de 22ºC / 71ºF
con días ocasionales que llegan por encima de 30ºC / 80ºF. Las
temperaturas del agua oscilan entre 9ºC / 48ºF a 13ºC / 55ºF en

The Basque
Country
The Basque Country is also known as Euskal Herria (Basque)
or El País Vasco (Spanish). It is divided into 3 legal and political

The average temperature in winter is 8ºC/46ºF. Students
should bring warm clothes and an umbrella. In autumn and
spring the average temperature ranges from 12ºC/53ºF
to 16ºC/60ºF and wearing a light pullover is advised at
night. Summer has an average temperature of 22ºC/ 71ºF
with occasional days reaching above 30ºC/80ºF. The water

San Sebastián es una ciudad viva con una población de más de
186.000. Como es la capital cultural del País Vasco y en el 2016
Capital Europea de la Cultura, ¡la ciudad tiene algo para todos!
Es uno de los destinos turísticos más populares de España,
debido a las playas, tradición, gastronomía y eventos especiales.
• Horarios de las tiendas
HORARIO
TIENDAS
España tiene un horario comercial diferente a otros países. El
horario general de verano es 10.00 a 13.00 horas y 16,00 a 20,00.
El horario general en invierno es 10.00 a 13.00 horas y 15,30 a
19,30. La mayoría de las tiendas están cerradas los domingos.
Los bancos están abiertos por las mañanas 08,30-14,00 y sólo
las sedes centrales están abiertas por las tardes y sábados
por la mañana.
• Servicios Postales
La oficina principal de correos se encuentra en la Plaza del
Buen Pastor (detrás de la catedral). El horario es de 08,30
a 20,30 (lunes a viernes) y de 09,30 a 14,00 (el sábado). Los
Sellos y los sobres se pueden comprar allí.
• Internet y Wifi
La mayoría de tiendas de café tienen WIFI gratis, pero si
planeas usar el WiFi tendrás que comprar una bebida por lo
menos. Busca la señal WiFi en el escaparate.
Uno de los mejores lugares para el acceso gratuito a Internet
es la gran biblioteca pública, Koldo Mitxelena, en la Plaza del
Buen Pastor (detrás de la catedral Debes reservar sitio antes

• Prevención y Seguridad
San Sebastián es una ciudad muy segura. La ciudad es agradable
y acogedora para los estudiantes extranjeros y es seguro
caminar durante el día y la noche. Sin embargo, por favor, utiliza
tu sentido común: caminar siempre por zonas bien iluminadas,
tratar de atenerse a las áreas que conoces y siempre estar al
menos con otra persona. Además asegúrate de tener tu tarjeta
de identificación contigo y evitar llevar grandes cantidades de
dinero en efectivo. Si pierdes algo o te han robado, la estación de
policía local se encuentra en C/ Easo 41 (943 481 300).

• San Sebastian
San Sebastian is a lively city with a population of over 186,000.
As the cultural capital of the Basque Country and the 2016
European Cultural Capital, the city has something for everyone!
It’s one of the most popular Spanish tourist destinations due to
the beaches, tradition, gastronomy and special events.
• Store Hours

HOURS
Spain has a different commercial timetable to other countries.
The general summer timetable is 10.00 to 13.00 & 16.00 to
20.00. The general winter timetable is 10.00 to 13.00 & 15.30
to 19.30. Most stores are CLOSED on Sundays.
Banks are open in the mornings from 08.30 to 14.00 and
only head offices are open in the afternoons and on Saturday
mornings.
• Postal Services
The main post office is in Plaza de Buen Pastor (behind
the cathedral). Opening hours are 08.30 to 20.30 (Monday
to Friday) and 09.30 to 14.00 (on Saturday). Stamps and
envelopes can be bought there.
• Internet & Wifi
MOST COFFEE SHOPS HAVE FREE WIFI but if you plan on using
the WiFi you’ll need to buy a drink at least. Look for the WiFi
sign in the shop window.
One of the best places for free Internet is the large public
library, Koldo Mitxelena, in Plaza de Buen Pastor (behind the
cathedral). You must book a time before you arrive as it’s a
popular place with local students as well.

• Safety & Security
San Sebastian is a very safe city. It’s friendly and inviting city
for foreign students and it’s safe to walk around during the
day and evening. However, please use your common sense:
always walk through well-lit zones, try to stick to areas that
you know and always have at least one other person with you.
Additionally make sure you have your ID card on you and avoid
carrying large quantities of cash. If something is lost or stolen,
the local police station is located at C/ Easo 41 (943 481 300).

San Sebastián tiene una muy buena red de transporte
compuesto por D-BUS y LURRALDE BUS. Hay muchas líneas
de autobús que conectan el centro de la ciudad con los otros
barrios. Puedes coger un horario de autobuses en la escuela
o en todas las paradas de autobús aparecen los horarios.
ESTANCIAS CORTAS: Puedes comprar un pase de autobús
turístico en la oficina de turismo en El Boulevard:
• Tarjeta de San Sebastián 5: viajes de autobús 12 (16 € si devuelves la tarjeta al final te dan 1 € de vuelta)
• Tarjeta de San Sebastián 3: viajes en autobús 6 (9 € si devuelves la tarjeta al final te dan 1 € de vuelta)
LARGAS ESTANCIAS: Puedes comprar un pase de autobús
MUGI por 5 €, que te permite coger cualquier autobús en
San Sebastián por 0,91 € por viaje en lugar de 1,75 €.
Puedes comprar y recargar la tarjeta MUGI en cualquier
librería o quiosco de prensa alrededor de la ciudad.
• Bus – Regional y National
Si viajas fuera de San Sebastián tendrás que ir a la Plaza Pío
XII en AMARA. Podrás encontrar autobuses a Barcelona, Bilbao,
Madrid, Pamplona, Vitoria y más. Puedes reservar billetes por
internet con las siguientes empresas o en las taquillas de la
estación de autobuses: PESA, ALSA o CONTINENTAL.
• Tren - Local
EUSKOTREN: Los trenes salen de la Estación de Amara en la
Plaza Easo (AMARA) y son regulares. Las entradas pueden
adquirirse en la estación. Los horarios están disponibles en la

• San Sebastián-Bilbao: Cada 30 minutos
• San Sebastián-Orio / Hendaya: Cada 15 minutos

RENFE: Los trenes salen de la Estación Atocha (cerca de la

San Sebastian has a very good transport network made up
of D-BUS and LURRALDE BUS. There are many bus lines
connecting the city center with the other neighborhoods. You can
pick up a bus timetable from the school or all bus stops list the
timetable.
SHORT STAYS: You can buy tourist bus pass from the TOURIST
OFFICE in El Boulevard:
• San Sebastian Card 5: 12 bus trips (16€ - if you return the card
at the end you get 1€ back)
• San Sebastian Card 3: 6 bus trips (9€ - if you return the card at
the end you get 1€ back)
LONG STAYS: You can buy a MUGI bus pass for 5€ which allows
you to catch any bus in San Sebastian for 0,91€ per trip instead
of 1,75€. You can buy and recharge the MUGI bus pass from any
bookshop, newspaper stand or newsagents around the city.
• Bus – Regional & National
If you are travelling OUTSIDE of San Sebastian you’ll need to go
to Plaza Pío XII in AMARA. Here you can find buses to Barcelona,
Bilbao, Madrid, Pamplona, Vitoria and more. You can book tickets
online with the following companies or at their ticket booths at
the bus station: PESA, ALSA or CONTINENTAL.
• Train – Local
EUSKOTREN: Trains depart from Estación de Amara in the Plaza
Easo in AMARA and are quite regular. Tickets can be purchased

• San Sebastian-Orio/Hendaya: Every 15 minutes

RENFE: Trains depart from the Estación Atotxa (near the

salud para ver a un doctor GP / Familia. Si eres un ciudadano
de la Unión Europea, la Seguridad Social española cubrirá

eres de la UE, tendrás que pagar el coste inicial (unos 80 €) y

• Visados / Tarjetas de NIE
Si estás aquí con un visado de estudiante, explicamos los pasos
generales para conseguir tu tarjeta de NIE. Estos pasos pueden
ser diferentes según tu nacionalidad.
1. Ve a la EXTRANJERIA para coger tu carta de visado.
¡Lleva tu pasaporte!
De Pio XII Plaza, 6 en Amara cerca de la estación de autobús (943
98 91 10) / 09,00 a 17,30 (lunes a jueves) y 09,00 a 15,00 (viernes)
o 08,00 a 15,00 (lunes a viernes) desde junio hasta septiembre.
2. Ve a la CNP y lleva los siguientes documentos
Pº Urumea, 17 en Amara cerca de la Puente Lehendakari
Agirre (943 449871) / 09,00 a 17,00 (lunes a jueves) y 09,00 a
14,30 (viernes).
• “Tu carta de visado”.
• Documentación de tu domicilio en España (Si has
reservado tu alojamiento con la Escuela, lleva tu carta de
Invitación. Si has reservado tu propio alojamiento tendrás
que ir al ayuntamiento para conseguir un certificado de
empadronamiento).
• 2 fotos de identidad según los requisitos españoles.
• Tu pasaporte original y una copia (con todas las páginas con
un visado o un sello).
Cuando les das todos tus documentos, te dan un formulario
para completar y una factura para el pago de la tasa
administrativa. Paga la tasa en el banco (ver parte 6). Con
tu formulario completado y la tasa pagada vuelve a la CNP.
Te toman huellas y te dan un papel con tu NIE – Número de
Identidad de Extranjero.
3. Coges tu tarjeta NIE 40 días después. Tienes que llevar
tu pasaporte y el NIE en papel.
• Apertura de una cuenta bancaria
Se recomienda abrir una cuenta bancaria con Caja Laboral o
Kutxa, ya que ofrecen una cuenta especial si eres menor de
29. También puedes recargar tu tarjeta bus Mugi o recargar tu
crédito del teléfono en sus cajeros automáticos designados /
cajeros automáticos.
• Prepago de celular / Teléfonos móviles
Si tu teléfono está desbloqueado se puede comprar una tarjeta SIM
española desde cualquier compañía de celular / teléfono móvil.
Las compañías más populares en España son Movistar, Vodafone u
Orange. Las tarjetas SIM normalmente cuestan alrededor de
10 € y se puede recargar en cualquiera de las tiendas oficiales, en
librerías o quioscos. Debes tener una cuenta bancaria española si
quieres tener un contrato de teléfono móvil /celular.
Si tienes un teléfono bloqueado puedes comprar una tarjeta
telefónica internacional desde los quioscos de prensa o librerías.
Llamar fuera de España: código + número 00 + país. Para las
llamadas de cobro revertido marca 1009.

HEALTHCARE CENTER to see a GP/Family Doctor. If you are a
European Union citizen the Spanish Social Security will cover

If you want to stay longer at the school or in the city we have
various options available. Ask about our Work Experience
program which allows you to combine studying and working
at the same time. It’s a great opportunity and will give you
valuable experience in the Spanish workforce. If you are
interested in doing the Work Experience program, please make
an appointment to speak with María in Reception 1.

• Visas / NIE cards
If you are here on a student visa, here are some GENERAL steps.
These may be different depending on what nationality you are.
1. Go to the EXTRANJERIA to pick up your “visa approval”
letter. Take your passport!

the tax at a bank (see part 6). Go back to the CNP with your
COMPLETED application form and paid taxes. They will then
take your fingerprints and give you a paper NIE “Número de
Identidad de Extranjero”.
3. 40 days later you can pick up your NIE card. Take your
passport and the paper NIE!
• Opening a Bank Account
We recommend opening a bank account with Caja Laboral
or Kutxa as they offer a special account if you are under 29.
You can also re-charge your Mugi bus card or re-charge your
phone credit at their designated ATMs / cash machines.
• Prepaid Cell / Mobile Phones
If your phone is unlocked you can buy a Spanish SIM card from
any cell / mobile phone brand. Popular brands in Spain include
Movistar, Vodafone or Orange. The SIM cards normally cost
around 10€ and you can recharge at any of the official shops
or at a newsagency. You MUST have a Spanish bank account if
you want to get a cell / mobile phone contract.
If you have a locked phone you can buy an International phone
card from the newspaper stands or at a newsagency.

collect calls dial 1009.
