We are excited to invite you to Curriculum Night. This evening is designed for parents only and
is an opportunity for you to become better acquainted with your child’s teacher(s), classroom
routines, expectations, and the grade level curriculum. Howard hosts a school-wide Title I Program.
As such, this evening will also provide families with an opportunity to learn more about the
academic services provided through Title I. For your convenience, Curriculum Night is divided into
two sessions allowing those families with siblings to attend both sessions. If you only have one child
attending Howard, please select the session most convenient for your family. Curriculum Night will
begin PROMPTLY at 6:00.
FREE Childcare will be provided for families needing this service. Children ages 4 and older can
be dropped off in the cafeteria starting at 5:45 and will be under the supervision of Instructional
Assistants. A FREE dinner will be available for the children in childcare. We ask that parents pick
up their child(ren) no later than 7:05 pm.

SESSION ONE ~ report to your child’s classroom OR meet your child’s Title teacher
and/or special education teacher.
Transition: parents attending the first session depart (except for parents w/siblings
and those wanting to meet other staff members) making room for the second
session..
SESSION TWO ~ report to your child’s classroom OR meet your child’s Title
teacher and/or special education teacher.
As always, PARKING is available in the lots located in front of the school. Parking is also available
at the Head Start facility directly west of Howard, as well as in the bus loop and pause parking
lanes. To maximize parking for everyone, we ask that unless you have siblings (and will be staying
for both sessions), you please conclude your visit immediately following your program thus freeing
parking spaces for newly arriving parents.
Please understand that Curriculum Night provides an overview of your child’s educational
experience this year and is not a time for individual conferences. Should
you have questions geared specifically toward your child, please contact
your child’s teacher to make arrangements for a private meeting. Parents
can look forward to conferences the last week of November.

Estamos muy emocionados de poderlos invitar a la Noche de Plan de Estudios. Esta noche esta
diseñada solamente para padres, esto es para que tengan la oportunidad de conocer a los
maestros, las rutinas del salón, lo que se espera del estudiante, y del plan de estudio de su grado.
Howard tiene un programa al nivel escolar de Titulo 1. Esta noche también le daremos a las familias
la oportunidad de aprender mas sobre los servicios académicos que son proporcionados por el
programa de Titulo 1. Para la conveniencia de las familias, hemos dividido la Noche de Plan de
Estudios en dos partes, esto les permitirá ir a los salones de sus hijos. Si solamente tienen un
hijo/a en Howard, seleccione la sesión que le convenga mas a su familia. Las sesiones de la Noche de
Plan de Estudios comienzan A TIEMPO a las 6:00.
Estaremos proporcionando cuidado de niños GRATUITO para aquellas familias que lo necesiten.
Ustedes podrán dejar a los niños mayor que 4 años en la cafetería a partir de las 5:45 y serán
supervisados por las asistentes de las maestras. Tendremos disponible una cena GRATIS para los
niños en la cafetería. Les pedimos a los padres que recojan a los niños antes de las 7:05 pm.

SESION UNO ~ repórtese a salón de su hijo/a para conocer a la/el maestra/o o vaya
a conocer a la maestra de Titulo 1 y/o maestra de educación especial.
Transición: los padres que acudieron a la primera sesión se van ( con excepción de los
padres que tienen mas hijos en la escuela o que quieran conocer a mas personal de la
escuela) para dejar que la segunda sesión entre.
SESION DOS ~ repórtese al salón de su hijo/a para conocer a la/el maestra/o o
vaya a conocer a la maestra de Titulo 1 y/o maestra de educación especial.
Como siempre, el ESTACIONAMIENTO al frente de la escuela esta disponible. También tenemos
estacionamiento disponible en el edificio de Head Start localizado al oeste de Howard, como
también la vuelta de autobús y estacionamiento de pausa. pedimos que por favor nomás terminen su
sesión, por favor se retiren del estacionamiento, al menos que tengan a otro estudiante. Nos
gustaría tener estacionamiento disponible para aquellos padres que vengan llegando.
Por favor comprendan que la Noche de Plan de Estudios, les proporcionara
una breve explicación de la experiencia educativa de este año y no es
tiempo de conferencias individuales. Si ustedes tienen preguntas
especificas acerca de su hijo/a, por favor de hacer una cita para una
junta con la maestra. Padres ustedes tendrán la oportunidad de conversar
con los maestros durante las conferencias la ultima semana de noviembre.
